In the latest, January 17, episode of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’, special education teacher Shadi Seyedyousef took to the hot seat after Karamo Brown left the game with $125,000, which he would be donating towards a charity close to his heart. While Brown’s performance left many impressed, Shadi managed to make an impression herself, as she effortlessly answered all the questions she was posed with.

Shadi was accompanied by her “intellectual friend” Brie. She previously served as a Resource Specialist and is the former Founding Dean at KIPP Compton Community School. Perhaps, it was her knowledge from years of teaching that helped her steer through the questions with utmost confidence.

While she seemed sure about all of her answers, it was the $64,000 question that confused her. It read, “During the Rutherford B Hayes administration, the president and his wife banned liquor from the White House, earning the first lady what nickname?” The options included “Chamomile Martha”, “Iced Tea Ida”, “Lemonade Lucy” and “Fruit Punch Frances”

Even though Shadi had no idea what was the first lady’s nickname, she went with her gut instinct and chose option B, stating that only “Lemonade Lucy” sounded like a real name. Jimmy Kimmel seems surprised with her answer as she continued to play confidently and said “she has nothing to lose” if she got the answer wrong. However, Shadi’s luck and instinct favored her as she gave the right answer but had the host calling her a “dangerous” woman who was willing to risk her game owing to her instincts.

Shadi successfully makes it to the $125,000, but the episode comes to an end as they run out of time. Shadi’s performance so far is indicative of the fact that she’s come prepared for the quiz based game show, determined to win the ultimate prize money. However, only in the next episode, we’ll know if Shadi can become the next millionaire.

American actor and comedian Ray Romano will be appearing in the next episode of ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ after Shadi. The synopsis for January 24 episode reads, “Special Education Teacher Shadi Seyedyousef takes her shot at the million-dollar prize, and Ray Romano jumps in the hot seat for the charity Harvest Home.”

‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ airs on Sundays at 8 pm ET on ABC.
