LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: AMC's popular reality show 'Love After Lockup' is back in WE TV's spinoff called 'Love After Lockup: Innocent After Lockup.'

'Love After Lockup: Innocent After Lockup' is set to release on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 10:30 PM. 

A popular notion about justice says "Justice delayed is justice denied." This show features wrongly accused individuals who spend years behind the prison to be proven innocent later.

For these individuals 'fitting in the society' after serving more than 15 years behind bars becomes a huge task.

The show is all about the struggle of the individuals who are fighting against this damaged system of justice in their ways. 

Produced by Sharp Entertainment, a part of Sony Pictures Television, this season will show the exonerees, fighting for financial compensation, sorting out their family and love life, prioritizing their health, and much more. 

The three exonerees to be a part of this show are Taron Hill, Calvin Burari, and Ru-El Sailor.

Who will star in the spinoff season of 'Love After Lockup: Innocent After Lockup'?

This spinoff season 'Love After Lockup: Innocent After Lockup' will be a three-part limited series. The teaser gives a sneak peek at three wrongfully accused men who narrate their stories of injustice and how they dealt with it.

Taron Hill

Taron Hill, activist and a proud girl dad is currently 35 years old and based in Raleigh, NC. He was falsely convicted of a double homicide in the year 2004 and was finally exonerated in 2021.

As Taron Hill was released innocent on July 9, 2021, he cleared out "I left a of innocent men behind." He is determined to challenge the entire justice system.

According to a report from the University of Michigan Law School, On November 23, 2021, he filed a compensation case on the state of New Jersey claiming $825,000, through the state's Mistaken Imprisonment Act.

Calvin Burari 

A real estate agent and entrepreneur, Calvin is currently 51 years old and based in Houston, Texas.

He was arrested in the year 1993 in the Bronx when he was just 21. This falsely accused man spent his entire youth (around 22 years) in prison. Only in 2018, did three witnesses come forward to state that he was innocent and was not the shooter.

Calvin went ahead to sue New York state for wrongful conviction and received $8 million of which he netted just under $5 million. 

In February 2022, he finally received the $2.7 million of his settlement.

Ru-El Sailor

Based in Cleveland, Ohio, Ru-El is now 42 years old.

At the age of 23, he was sentenced to 28 years in prison for a murder that he did not commit. Despite no solid evidence or DNA, he served 15 years in prison. With the steady support of his wife Amy, he was finally exonerated. 

He has received compensation from the state and continues to receive so from the state of Cleveland.

The teaser of 'Love After Lockup: Innocent After Lockup' as voiced out by the narrator portrays 'Real Stories of injustice' where 'Their freedom was stolen' and lastly points to the fact that 'Will their lives ever be the same?'

This three-part limited series would be thrilling to watch as the three exonerees open up more about their experiences.
