LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix's 'Florida Man' appears to be an unusual crime drama. In the series, ex-cop Mike Valentine is compelled to travel to his home state of Florida to find a Philadelphia mobster's girlfriend. However, the endeavor soon proves trickier than expected as he enters a labyrinth of family secrets, struggling to do the right thing as everything goes wrong.

Donald Todd created the series as part of Aggregate's first-look deal with Netflix, and he also serves as an executive producer alongside Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan, and Miguel Arteta. As director of the first and second episodes, Miguel Arteta sets the tone for the limited series, with Julian Farino, Kevin Bray, and Haifaa Al Mansour taking over for the subsequent installments.
