LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA : No matter how long ago a story was told, it might still feel incomplete to some. According to Alicia Silverstone, Brendan Fraser and her would make a fantastic team for a 'Blast From the Past' sequel. Fraser played Adam Webber in the 1999 romantic comedy, a guy who spent his entire life in a fallout shelter before one day leaving and meeting Eve (Silverstone). With Eve by his side, Webber explores the modern world before his innocence and inexperience cause them to run into difficulties. Even though the movie has been out for 24 years, Silverstone thinks there is still more to the narrative

At a 'Clueless' reunion panel at '90s Con, Silverstone expressed her desire for a 'Blast From the Past' sequel. On March 12, Fraser and Silverstone both attended the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where the latter expressed her excitement after Fraser's acceptance speech.

'With Brendan? I would do anything with Brendan,' says Silverstone.

During Sunday’s panel in Hartford, Connecticut the star responded to a fan inquiry about whether she would ever revisit 'Blast from the Past' at the "Clueless" reunion panel at '90s Con. To this, Silverstone said, “With Brendan? I would do anything with Brendan. It was so much fun,” She added, “I just saw Brendan after he won his Oscar and he’s so cute. He talked in his speech about how we all go through this really hard time and you have to grow and it’s part of life that you struggle and then look what happened to him! So yes, I’m happy to do that.”

Fraser's big win at the Oscars

Fraser, who had also attended the Vanity Fair's Oscar party, won an Academy Award for Best Actor earlier in the evening for his role in Darren Aronofsky’s 'The Whale'. He played Charlie, a 600-pound English teacher in the movie, who was attempting to mend fences with his daughter (portrayed by Sadie Sink).

“I started in this business 30 years ago, things didn’t come easy to me but there was a facility that I didn’t appreciate at the time, until it stopped. I just want to say thank you for this acknowledgement,” Fraser said in his acceptance speech. “It couldn’t be done without my cast. It’s been like I’ve been on a diving expedition and the air on the line to the surface is being watched over by some people in my life like my sons.”
