LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sofie Dossi charmed the 'America's Got Talent' audience years ago with her incredible power and flexibility in contortion. Now she's done it again, as the contortionist receives the Golden Buzzer from her own mentor, Heidi Klum, securing her spot in the finale of the first season of 'America's Got Talent: Fantasy League'.
This week, Heidi had the opportunity to use her Golden Buzzer. Even though she could have cleverly poached a participant from another judge, she opted to send one of her own acts directly to the finals.
Mel B described Sofie's performance as "contortion on steroids" even before it began. Mel B said on Draft Day that Sofie was her first choice, but she lost out to Heidi.
Soon after her performance, Heidi remarked she was at a loss for words because everyone had just seen how "amazing" Sofie is as her brain goes "Bam."
Howie Mandel stepped in, adding that although it is competitive, and he does not like to give credit to his other mentors, if he had the Golden Buzzer, he would take Sofie from Heidi.
Mel B agrees with Howie, describing the act as "very well rehearsed and sleek."
Simon confessed he was emotional because he has seen Sofie grow into the performer she is today and feels this may be the year she wins it all.
Without further ado, Heidi pressed her Golden Buzzer, guaranteeing her the opportunity to win the title.
Did Sofie Dossi win 'AGT' title?
In 2019, Sofie returns to 'America's Got Talent: The Champions' for its debut season. She finished in third place after doing an excellent aerial act.
