LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Balenciaga has filed a $25 million lawsuit against the producers whose ad campaign included a controversial SCOTUS child porn ruling. The Spain fashion house is now suing ad production company North Six Inc, as well as set designer Nicholas Des Jardins and his own brand for including images of legal documents on the US Supreme Court's decision on child pornography laws in the ad campaign.

The move comes after Balenciaga sparked controversy for its own decision to put children in a separate ad campaign with teddy bears in BDSM gear. However, North Six did not produce the controversial teddy bear ads and both ad campaigns were produced independently. However, many critics say they point to a disturbing pattern within Balenciaga amid controversies involving different campaigns at different times of the year, reported Daily Mail.

Balenciaga accused North Six and Des Jardins purposely including the judicial records in the ad without informing its executives. The company described the act as "malevolent, or at the very least, extraordinarily reckless". A summons from the Manhattan Supreme Court says the brand added that it is looking to "redress for extensive damages defendants caused in connection with an advertising campaign Balenciaga hired them to produce."
