NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: In a horrifying turn of events, a Florida man allegedly killed his 59-year-old mother in their house and later, turned himself in, by dialing 911 on September 6, Sunday. The incident happened after the man got into an argument involving a car, orange juice and an air conditioning remote control with his mother, and later when the argument escalated, he shot her with all the bullets he had in his gun.
The man was identified as 29-year-old Luis Martin Pages who resides in North Miami Beach. Pages called the police authorities after committing the alleged murder and told them that he “lost it” and shot his mother at a home in the Miami area, a police report said. The victim, Miriam Gonzalez, 59, was found dead at the scene. Pages allegedly told the officer who arrived at the crime scene around 5 pm ET: “I killed her. Take me to jail."

Luis Martin Pages used to live with mother Miriam Gonzalez in a North Miami Beach Apartment. Pages was searching for jobs and on September 6, Sunday, he asked his mother for her car keys, in order to go for a job search. His mother didn't give him the car keys and said since it was Labor Day weekend and nothing would be open. This led to an argument. Pages allegedly told police his mother had threatened him with a knife. He then asked her for the air conditioner remote control and when she did not hand it over, he shot her down at that very moment, the arrest report states. The report also states that the fight also included an argument over an orange juice jar which was kept in the fridge.
Pages was given no bond when he faced court on September 7, Monday and he is now being held at the Miami-Dade Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Centre. Pages has been charged with second-degree murder.
According to a NBC Miami report, Pages did not know how many times he fired the weapon at his mother but stated he always carried six bullets in the gun. He knew he fired every single one after he attempted to turn the gun on himself before realizing he had no more bullets.
