Who is Timothy Kahl?
The 24-year-old lives on Village Drive in the city of Havre de Grace, less than a mile from the police station. A Facebook profile in his name says, 'I don't really like Facebook'. That description seems apt, since the only thing on his profile is his image. Kahl hasn't posted any content or shared any details on the account, beyond liking the Clash of Clans page.
The profile also links to a Clash of Clans fan page called Assassins of the Night Community. That website seems to be in development, with a large number of placeholder text. It does reveal though that Kahl plays the game on Xbox, with his Xbox username visible for anyone to add. Beyond that, there's not much we know about Kahl.
The violent rampage appears to be the first time Kahl's name has appeared in the media, we couldn't find any other mention of him. Around 9.30pm, Kahl placed a call to the police station and said he was going to come there and kill an officer. Cops then responded to a call of a man driving erratically in the neighborhood Kahl lived in. "When officers went to make contact with him he tried to run them over with his vehicle several times," the Havre de Grace Police Department said in a statement describing the incident. "He struck several parked vehicles and tried to run over the officers before fleeing the area."
Locals recounted the incident to WJZ. "First, it was a big squealing noise, and then there was a boom!" one neighbor, Sheila Keyes said. "No life was lost — just property damage— so I’m grateful." Another said, "For the incident to start here and work its way around to the police station that is quite frightening."
According to the police, Kahl then burst into the station, located on Pennington Avenue. After crashing, he got out and began to threaten officers, before he was tased. He was then taken to a hospital for treatment. "We’re grateful that nobody was injured in this. Our officers used great restraint," Corporal Ken Terry told WJZ. According to Terry, the police have had previous "minor" contacts with Kahl, but did not elaborate further.

Mayor William Martin issued a statement via Twitter and said, "We are all very grateful that the subject was apprehended professionally and without any injury to our officers or the public. We must always be cognizant that no community, no matter how great, is immune to such random acts of violence." It is unclear if Kahl has been taken to jail or if he is still in the hospital. We also couldn't find details on whether he would be arraigned.
