Who is the founder of Blue Moon beer? Fans surprised to see Molson Coors' first Super Bowl ad
INGLEWOOD, CALIFORNIA: Molson Coors' new Super Bowl ad featured the Blue Moon beer. Fans were surprised to see the beer in the ad. "The truth is, we didn't make the final call until recently. Our CEO didn't know how it would end until it aired," said St Jacques, Molson Coors CMO.
“We view Super Bowl as a season, not a day,” the CMO added. "This 30-second spot is a marketer’s dream, Not only do we talk about Coors Light’s refreshment and Miller Lite’s great taste, but our leads are holding their beers the entire time. And the choir is even chanting Miller and Coors throughout. The spot is a celebration of what our premium light beer brands stand for, and sneaking in Blue Moon in the last few seconds is just the cherry on top," claimed CMO.

Who is the founder of Blue Moon Beer?
Keith Villa started making beer at the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, at the beginning of the 1995 baseball season. He earned a doctorate in brewing from the University of Brussels. The brewing company claims, "During a tasting of the beer, someone said, 'A beer this good only comes around once in a blue moon,' and thus Blue Moon® Belgian White Belgian-Style Wheat Ale was born." The goal in creating Blue Moon Beer was to create well-crafted beers inspired by Belgian styles, according to Blue Moon Brewing Company. The beer was initially brewed in Utica, New York, from 1995 to 1997. Production later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, from 1997 to 1999, then to Memphis, Tennessee, from 1999to 2001, and to both Montreal, Canada, and Golden, Colorado, from 2003to 2008. In 1998, production was moved to Eden, North Carolina, and Golden, Colorado.
Keith retired from the organization on January 5. As he parted he said, “While I am stepping away and retiring from MillerCoors, this company will forever hold a special place in my heart,” Villa said via the statement. “Over the last 20 years, I have witnessed the growth of Blue Moon from a local beer that we developed at the SandLot to a brand that is sold around the world.” He then added, “The success of Blue Moon has surpassed my wildest dreams and I am proud to have partnered with so many people along the way who have helped Blue Moon get to this point,” Villa said. “I know the future of Blue Moon shines brightly. The brand and the brewing are in great hands and I can’t wait to watch as the next chapters of Blue Moon’s story are written," as per Brew Bound.
