Who is Alex Bawek? 'Teen Mom' Chelsea Houska’s sex offender friend looks angry in first mugshot after divorce
EAW CLAIRE COUNTY, SOUTH DAKOTA: Alex Bawek, a sex offender friend of 'Teen Mom' Chelsea Houska, appeared enraged in his new mugshot following his divorce from wife Brittnee, 27. The Sun on June 2, exclusively revealed that Bawek, 31, has an updated mugshot on his South Dakota Sex Offender Registry profile, which was taken on April 9, 2021. The rare photo showed Bawek appearing angry as he stared solemnly at the camera for the shot. While in Wisconsin, Bawek, 31, was arrested in December 2017 and charged with using a computer to facilitate child sex crime, child enticement, and attempted sexual assault of a kid under the age of 16.
His friend, 'Teen Mom 2' star Houska, in September 2020 and informed her fans she's quitting via Instagram, even though her fans were disappointed. Rumors were that Houska quit due to her daughter Aubree who she shares with Adam Lind.

Who is Alex Bawek?
In 2019, Bawek, Chelsea Houska's good buddy and a prior guest on 'Teen Mom 2', was sentenced in a child sexual assault case. The disgraced reality star was sentenced to six months in prison, as well as other terms, according to RadarOnline. Houska, 29, was a bridesmaid in Brittnee and Alex's wedding in 2016.
In December 2017, Bawek was arrested and charged by Eau Claire County Court for using a computer to facilitate child sex crime, child enticement, and attempted sexual assault of a child under the age of 16. Alex was found guilty of child enticement after entering a no-contest plea, according to Eau Claire County Court, while the other two accusations against him were withdrawn.
Bawek's wife Brittnee filed for divorce from Alex in February 2020, according to the Sun. After the 2017 crime, Brittnee stood by him. At the time, RadarOnline reported that a detective responded to Alex's Craigslist ad, which read: "Business stud seeking female or select couple… I [am] staying in town for the [night] for work." A detective responded to the ad and posed as a 14-year-old girl named "Arianna," according to court papers, writing to Bawek: "Hey. I like your ad. How r u… I'm 14. Is it ok to talk?" Bawek replied: "As long as you're not the police. Talking is fine." When he arrived to pick her up, cops approached him and he admitted to meeting an underage girl.
At the time of the arrest, Brittnee was expecting their first child. Bawek was convicted of child enticement after entering a no-contest plea, but the other two accusations against him were withdrawn. He was sentenced to six months in prison, with the first five months suspended "pending further order of the court." He was allowed to perform 240 hours of community service in lieu of the remaining 30 days.
Bawek is on a five-year probationary period and is only allowed to have unsupervised contact with youngsters under the age of 18 if it's his own child. He is on the sex offender registries in both South Dakota and Wisconsin.
