MOSCOW, IDAHO: Idaho quadruple murder suspect Bryan Kohberger has been warned by the father of Kaylee Goncalves, one of the slain victims. The warning comes a month ahead of the alleged killer's preliminary hearing set for June 26, 2023.

Following the brutal murders of Kaylee, 21, Ethan Chapin, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, and Xana Kernodle, 20, on November 13, 2022, Kohberger was taken into custody and was charged with one count of felony burglary and four counts of first-degree murder. The four University of Idaho students were found fatally stabbed in their off-campus home in Moscow, reported the Independent.

New evidence in the Idaho quadruple murders case

In the latest development of the case, a search of the alleged killer's apartment near Washington State University where he was pursuing his PhD led the investigators into obtaining new evidence. Two stains that may be blood, a computer, possible hair strands, and other items were seized during the raid, according to a 166-page report on the search.

'My daughter saw him face-to-face'

Talking to ABC News on Friday, May 12, Kaylee's father Steve Goncalves said, "I can’t wait to see the evidence… And then I’m gonna bring it. And he’s gonna realize that this... is the family that’s gonna make sure he doesn’t get away with it." Kristi Goncalves, mother of Kaylee said their family had been putting a lot of thought into the connection between the suspected murderer and their daughter.

"We’ve talked as a family, you know, we’ve done a lot of research on what’s out there... None of it makes sense," she said. Talking about the day she first met Kohberger at an initial court appearance, Kristi said, "I was completely overwhelmed. I actually almost thought I was gonna pass out. My daughter saw him face-to-face and in a very different light than we saw him, sitting there, looking very meek."

Kaylee's family has talked about their disappointment with the investigation and has even launched a page on Facebook for anyone with information to send in tips or other supporting details. "I’ve never been to a preliminary trial before.… I have no idea what to expect, I have no idea what we’re going to hear. But I know that I’ve got my son, and my daughter will be there, and my sister, and my husband," she added.
