SCRANTON, PENNSYLVANIA: A newly unsealed search warrant revealed a string of items discovered from Bryan Kohberger's parents' home in Pennsylvania. Investigators of the quadruple murder of the University of Idaho students conducted the search during Kohbergers arrest on 30 December 2022.

According to authorities, four medical-style gloves, one deviant silver flashlight, a pair of black and white size 13 Nike shoes, a white large t-shirt, and a pair of black under-armor shorts were seized from the accused murderer's residence, his car, and the adjacent garage. A buccal swab was also taken at the time, reported the Daily Mail.

Which are the two search warrants filed to raid Kohberger's home?

A day before Kohberger's arrest, Monroe County issued a warrant letting authorities collect "blood or other bodily fluid or materials and items with blood." Another unsealed warrant filed by authorities of Washington revealed that at the Pullman apartment of Kohberger, a "collection of dark red" spotting and also a pillow with a “reddish/brown stain” were found.

Both warrants issued were served on the same day Kohberger was arrested by the FBI. Following a tactical raid at his home, many items were seized from his place of residence. From WSU's Pullman to Monroe County, Kohberger had to travel 2,500 miles to spend time with his family for the holidays. After 15 December, he arrived in Pennsylvania and Indiana police twice pulled him over by Indian police as he was driving too close to the vehicle in front.

Was Kohberger's DNA matching the stain?

At his parent's residence in the Indiana Mountain Lakes community, continued physical surveillance was conducted. From the trash bag outside his house, Kohbergers' DNA was taken and sent for the DNA comparison with the knife sheath weapon found at the crime scene. On 28 December, a match was obtained, and assistance from Pennsylvania authorities was sought by the FBI and the Moscow Police Department for the arrest and search warrants they were secured, according to the Independent. However, the possibility of similarity in stains still remains unclear.

The accused killer was also linked to the massacre through cellphone video and surveillance video of his white Hyundai Elantra leaving the place after he stabbed the students to death, as per the affidavit for Kohberger's arrest.

One of the surviving roommates of the victims' partially described the murderer, after Xana Kernodle confronted him after the killings. The weapon used for slaying the four students which is believed to be a fixed-blade knife has not yet been discovered by investigators. On 26 June, Kohberger is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in court.
