HUMBLE, TEXAS: A twenty-year-old man, Siten Anney, has been sentenced to 75 years in a state correctional facility in Texas after being found guilty of the 2020 slaying of 22-year-old Trevor Alan Harrison.

Anney believed Harrison was responsible for the murder of his friend and, in a chilling turn of events, lured Harrison into an ambush, executed him, and then celebrated when news articles about his death broke.

Sitey Anney killed Trevor Harrison under a mistaken belief

The sentencing was ordered by Harris County District Court Judge Andrea Beall on Friday, September 22, following a four-day trial, during which a jury unanimously found Anney guilty of one count of murder. The jury's recommendation of a 75-year sentence was upheld by Judge Beall in his formal sentencing.

The tragic chain of events began with Anney's mistaken belief that Harrison had murdered his friend, known as 'K-Boy.' Prosecutors pointed out that despite Anney's conviction, there was no evidence connecting Harrison to K-Boy's murder.

Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg expressed her satisfaction with the verdict, saying, "This defendant spent hours doing everything he could to lure this young man to his death, including sending messages and making calls to set up the victim. We are grateful the jury saw exactly how cold and calculated this murder was and handed down the appropriate sentence."

The chilling aspect of this case was the callousness with which Anney acted both during and after the murder. According to prosecutors, just 21 minutes after Harrison was fatally shot, Anney attempted to put the murder weapon up for sale online.

Shockingly, when news of the fatal shooting broke, he took a screenshot of the article and sent it to his friends, boasting that he had stayed up all night waiting for it.

Initial investigation into Trevor Harrison's killing

The incident unfolded on November 23, 2020, when police responded to a call about a shooting in the 200 block of Atascocita Road in Humble, Texas, a suburban area approximately 20 miles northeast of Houston.

Upon arrival, first responders discovered Harrison lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds and found several 9 mm handgun cartridge casings near his body. Tragically, Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation took a significant turn when police interviewed a witness, a friend of the victim, who revealed that she had dropped Harrison off at an apartment earlier that night for what he referred to as a "big" deal involving prescription drugs.

Harrison mentioned he was selling these drugs to "Kboy's younger brother." Meanwhile, 'Kboy' was identified as Harrison's friend, who had been killed earlier in the year.

The witness recalled hearing Harrison have a speakerphone conversation with the supposed buyer via Facebook Messenger before dropping him off near the apartment where the buyer claimed to live. Unfortunately, she never heard from Harrison again.

Online messages led to Siten Anney

Further examination of Harrison's Facebook account unveiled that he had been arranging the drug deal with an individual using the username "Y fn Baggin."

This person had suggested meeting at the location of the eventual crime. Law enforcement subsequently traced this account back to Siten Anney.

In a voluntary interview with the police, Anney claimed that, despite the conversation with Harrison being on his account, it was his friend who had been responding to Harrison's messages.

Shockingly, Anney revealed that his friend had confided in him about plans to "kill the victim at their meeting" due to their belief that Harrison had murdered 'K-Boy.'

In a disturbing revelation, Anney admitted that his friend had indeed carried out the murder, shooting Harrison from behind, after which Anney had fled the scene.

“Defendant said his friend then came up from behind and shot the victim, and the defendant then ran away,” the affidavit states.

Based on the messages from Anney's phone that placed him at the scene at the time of the shooting, law enforcement authorities arrested him and charged him with murder, Law&Crime reported.
