Who is Sallie Harmsen? Netflix's 'Noise' all set to catapult Belgian actress to global stardom
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix is all set to give viewers a gripping psychological thriller experience with upcoming Belgian movie 'Noise'. And it is to be noted that the streaming platform has already produced several original psychological thrillers, including 'Spiderhead', 'The Woman in the Window', and the most recent 'The Strays'.
Directed by Steffen Geypens and written by Robin Kerremans, Hasse Steenssens and Steffen Geypens, the official description of the upcoming 'Noise' from Netflix reads, "The film tells the story of Matt (Ward Kerremans), an influencer and young parent to newborn Julius, who discovers a dark secret from his dementing father’s past. He starts an in-depth investigation, which consequently opens a Pandora’s box of secrets and unravels more family dramas than anticipated. Matt's wife, Liv (Sallie Harmsen), is deeply concerned and will do everything in her power not to lose him, but is it too late..?"

Who is Sallie Harmsen?
Sallie Harmsen is an upcoming Dutch actress born on May 2, 1989. She is known for her several roles in television series, shorts and movies. Harmsen prefers to keep her private life under wraps. She is an extremely private person, whose personal details, including the name of her parents and her dating life are closed off from the public. Harmsen has always been interested in arts and acting, and she graduated from Maastricht Academy of Performing Arts, one of the most prestigious drama academies in Europe. Harmsen started her big screen career with a TV movie in 2004, titled 'Snacken', where she was seen playing the role of Sanne. Harmsen only uses social media as a tool in order to promote her works. Harmsen will be seen portraying one of the leads named Liv, a new mother, in the upcoming Netflix original psychological thriller 'Noise'.
What are Sallie Harmsen's works?
From a very young age, the amazing talent of Harmsen was evident. At an early stage in her career, Harmsen managed to receive her first Golden Calf nomination for her role as Simone in the movie 'In Real Life' in 2008. It is to be noted that this movie was the first lead role that Harmsen had in a movie and it paved the way for her stardom.
After that, Harmsen went on to star in several projects including the 2009 TV movie 'Alex in Amsterdam', where she is seen portraying a character called Lotte, and played Sarah Lunter in the 2010 movie 'Loft'. And her role in the 2011 TV series 'De geheimen van Barslet' as Manon de Vries earned her yet another award nomination for Best Actress in a TV-Drama at Nederlands Film Festival.
Apart from acting on-screen, Harmsen has also tried her talents in theater, from 2013 to 2015, appearing in productions of plays including Shakespeare's 'Midsummer Night's Dream'. Yet another turning point in Harmsen's career came when she appeared in 2014's 'Accused' as one of the leads named Judith Jansen.
'Accused' was a movie based on real-life incidents which went on to win several awards, including being shortlisted for the 2015 Academy Awards in the Foreign Film category. Her other breakthrough role comes in the form of playing the role of a Female Replicant in the Oscar Award-winning movie 'Blade Runner 2049' in 2017. Harmsen then would get her 'Best Actress: All Categories' award from Anatomy Crime and Horror Film Festival by playing the lead role of Betriek in the 2022 movie 'Moloch'.
