Ryan Crouser, the renowned shot putter and discus thrower from the United States, will be a key figure to watch during the Championships. 

Born on December 18, 1992, in Portland, Oregon, Crouser rose to prominence in the world of athletics, setting a national sophomore record with the 3.58 lb (1.62 kg) high school discus, throwing an impressive 202 ft 6 in (61.72 m) in 2009. His remarkable achievements include setting the Olympic record and winning two gold medals in the shot put.

Crouser currently holds both the indoor and outdoor shot put world records. In June 2021, he surpassed Randy Barnes' long-standing record of 23.12 meters by setting a new mark of 23.37 meters at the US Olympic Trials.

As the reigning two-time Olympic champion, Crouser's career is distinguished by numerous accolades. He was named 'World Male Athlete of the Year 2021' by Track & Field News and was also a finalist for the '2021 Male Track and Field World Athlete of the Year' by World Athletics.

Who is Ryan Crouser dating?

In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Crouser's personal life has also drawn attention. He has been in a relationship with Megan Clark, a track and field athlete who has represented the United States in pole vaulting.

Although the couple has been together for a significant time, the exact start date of their relationship remains undisclosed. While Crouser and Clark are an adorable pair, they have not made any public announcements regarding marriage or formalizing their relationship.

Born in June 1958 in Australia, Clark boasts an impressive educational background. Beyond her achievements as a track and field athlete, she also holds a prominent role as a geologist and business executive.

She previously served as the director of CSIRO and held the esteemed position of head of the Australian Space Agency. 

Clark attended Presbyterian Ladies College and earned a BSc (Hons) in Economic Geology from the University of Western Australia in 1981. She later pursued a Doctorate in Economic Geology at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.

Her career journey has been diverse, starting as a mine geologist and expanding into roles in mineral exploration, mine geology, R&D management, venture capital, and technical strategy with Western Mining Corporation.

Clark has also worked in a corporate venture fund with Advent International in Boston.

She later served as a director at N M Rothschild & Sons (Australia) and held roles as Vice-President of Technology and, subsequently, Vice-President of Health, Safety, Environment, Community, and Sustainability at BHP Billiton from 2003 to 2008.

Currently, their focus is likely on their respective careers and supporting each other in their athletic pursuits.

When will the Paris Olympics 2024 start?

Although the formal opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, July 26th, 2024, several sports events at the Paris Olympics will commence two days earlier, on Wednesday, July 24th.

The Paris Olympics will kick off with two men's football matches at 9 am ET on Wednesday, July 24. Argentina will face Morocco at the Geoffroy-Guichard Stadium in Saint-Étienne, while Spain will compete against Uzbekistan at the Parc des Princes in Paris.

The opening ceremony for the Olympics will span a 6-kilometer route along the Seine, beginning at Austerlitz Bridge and concluding amid the gardens, fountains, and palaces at Trocadéro, under the iconic Eiffel Tower.

What time will Paris Olympics 2024 premiere?

The Opening Ceremony for the 2024 Paris Olympics will begin at 2 pm ET on Friday, July 26, 2024.

The first medals of the 2024 Olympics will be awarded during the 10-meter air rifle mixed team shooting event, which starts at 4:30 am ET on Saturday, July 27.

Medals will also be awarded in cycling, diving, fencing, judo, rugby, skating, and swimming on the first full day of competition.
