Clark attended Presbyterian Ladies College and earned a BSc (Hons) in Economic Geology from the University of Western Australia in 1981. She later pursued a Doctorate in Economic Geology at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.
Her career journey has been diverse, starting as a mine geologist and expanding into roles in mineral exploration, mine geology, R&D management, venture capital, and technical strategy with Western Mining Corporation.

Clark has also worked in a corporate venture fund with Advent International in Boston.
She later served as a director at N M Rothschild & Sons (Australia) and held roles as Vice-President of Technology and, subsequently, Vice-President of Health, Safety, Environment, Community, and Sustainability at BHP Billiton from 2003 to 2008.

When will the Paris Olympics 2024 start?
Although the formal opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, July 26th, 2024, several sports events at the Paris Olympics will commence two days earlier, on Wednesday, July 24th.
The Paris Olympics will kick off with two men's football matches at 9 am ET on Wednesday, July 24. Argentina will face Morocco at the Geoffroy-Guichard Stadium in Saint-Étienne, while Spain will compete against Uzbekistan at the Parc des Princes in Paris.
The opening ceremony for the Olympics will span a 6-kilometer route along the Seine, beginning at Austerlitz Bridge and concluding amid the gardens, fountains, and palaces at Trocadéro, under the iconic Eiffel Tower.
What time will Paris Olympics 2024 premiere?
The Opening Ceremony for the 2024 Paris Olympics will begin at 2 pm ET on Friday, July 26, 2024.
The first medals of the 2024 Olympics will be awarded during the 10-meter air rifle mixed team shooting event, which starts at 4:30 am ET on Saturday, July 27.
Medals will also be awarded in cycling, diving, fencing, judo, rugby, skating, and swimming on the first full day of competition.
