Rachel Skarsten is one of the many actors who tied the knot during the pandemic and so most details about her wedding were not revealed. In fact, the news of her getting married was also shared on the 'Batwoman' star's Instagram account where she announced on May 13, 2020, "I married my sweetheart! This wasn’t taken on our wedding day, that will stay private, but I wanted to share the news on my own terms. That and I can’t stop referring to him as my husband so it’s bound to come out eventually lol. Here’s to LOVE."

She tied the knot with Alexandre Robicquet, who is a research scholar at Standford University and he is also the co-founder and CEO of Crossing Minds. Robicquet works in the field of artificial intelligence and since revealing the news, the actor has not released any pictures from their wedding ceremony. Instead, a couple of months after her wedding, the actor posted on Instagram and said, "The first year of marriage feels like high school, in that you celebrate every months anniversary...and I’m in to it."

The actor had also shared moments from her married life like what it felt like to quarantine together during the pandemic, or even to simply pose for pictures together. In an interview with ET Canada, the actor revealed that the wedding was not exactly what she had planned, but she was definitely happy to be a married woman during the pandemic. She revealed, "I wasn’t one of those people who grew up planning their wedding. Really, I just wanted to marry my best friend. So I got to do that, I’m very happy!" Their wedding took place in her backyard and the change in plans because of Covid-19 did not upset the actor.

Something that we find interesting about Skarsten's husband Robicquet is that he had modeled for a YSL fragrance in 2017 and had at that time believed that his research in deep learning and the new modeling assignment complimented each other. He had then said, "I started considering it because I thought that could be a good idea to show people that AI guys are here. To me, they work the hardest, researching things that haven’t been discovered yet. Giving value to those kinds of people is something we’re not doing enough of and this was a way to start bridging those two worlds together — that are so far apart in everyone’s mind." As the AI ambassador of YSL, he was also invited to the International St Gallen Symposium in Switzerland as one of the 100 Leaders of Tomorrow.

Robicquet ran his first full-time company at the age of 25, and this he had founded with Sebastian Thrun (who happens to be a Google X founder) and Emile Contal in 2016. The company got $4M in a seed round organized by Index Venture and also supported by Sound Venture of Ashton Kutcher. Robicquet has degrees in Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics and had his first publication at the age of 21 and was also offered a scholarship at Stanford University to pursue his masters in Artificial Intelligence. After having founded the company, however, Robicquet and his team aimed to develop the personalized and empathetic recommendation engine 'h.ai'.
