Tim Scott and Mindy Noce have been dating for 'about a year or so'
Campaign observers have been curious about Scott's social life since the 58-year-old senator from South Carolina has never been married.
The charming but awkward legislator has been asked about his single status while focusing on his faith and his dedication to conservative family values during his campaign. Scott has consistently provided evasive responses when asked if he is dating a woman, but she has not endorsed him.
Following the debate on Wednesday, November 8, Scott stated in interviews that he and Noce had been dating for "about a year or so," and that she had attended his campaign launch earlier in the year, as per USA Today.

It was a regrettable metaphor for Scott's presidential campaign because the Mindy moment garnered more attention than anything he said throughout the debate.
Earlier this year, Scott revealed his relationship with his partner while making a point of discussing his upbringing and beliefs during a campaign rally in Iowa.
Scott announced to an Iowa gathering in September that he was seeing "a lovely Christian girl," but he declined to disclose when she would be joining him on the campaign trail, per Politico Magazine.
Tim Scott once boasted of being a 30-year-old virgin
In a previous interview with Daily Mail, Scott boasted about being a 30-year-old virgin and never having been married. He did, however, appear to be less dedicated to abstinence prior to marriage in recent years.
Scott ran his first campaign in South Carolina as a 30-year-old virgin who was openly devoted to God's commands and an Evangelical Christian.
However, Scott's vow of celibacy was short-lived as he eventually acknowledged in 2012, at the age of 46, that he was no longer a virgin following 16 years in the political spotlight.
The South Carolina senator once became defensive when his relationship status was compared to that of a previous president to serve without a spouse, James Buchanan in 1861.
Scott stated at the time, "The fact that half of America's adult population is single for the first time, to suggest that somehow being married or not married is going to be the determining factor of whether you're a good president."
