Who is Carmen Currie? Internet convinced Meghan McCain's hair and makeup stylist hates her with 'fiery passion'

The internet mocked the many hairstyles that McCain has sported on 'the View', with many believing her stylist was doing it deliberately

After Monday's episode of 'The View', host Meghan McCain was trending on social media for all the wrong reasons. She had called on President Joe Biden to replace Dr Anthony Fauci, who was a guest on the show, with someone who understands science because she doesn’t know when she will be getting the COVID-19 vaccine. But the Internet was focused on a far different problem - McCain's hair and makeup. 

While she slammed the nation's top infectious disease expert who oversees the country's COVID-19 response on her show, social media was busy pointing out that her hair and makeup team must hate her.

McCain said, "I think we need to have more people giving more opinions and honestly quite frankly, I think the Biden administration should remove him [Fauci] and put someone else in place that does understand science or can talk like these other countries about how we can be more like these other places that are doing this successfully."

And while some on Twitter were angry about her showing her privilege like this, others were more focused on her hair and makeup. 

"I’m not the first person to point this out, but it’s always funny to watch the clips that make Meghan McCain trend and be reminded how much her hair and wardrobe people clearly hate her lmao," a Twitter user shared. "Meghan McCain's ignorance and sense of self-importance are staggering at times. And P.S.: Whoever styles her hair must HATE her with a white-hot heat," another user added while criticizing her. 

'The stylist HATE her with a fiery passion'

The internet mocked the many hairstyles that McCain has sported on 'the View'. "Meghan McCain's hairstylist......welcome to the resistance," Twitter user Amy Brown shared with a screengrab of different hairstyles worn by McCain. "Whoever does Meghan McCain's hair on the regular is an activist in the most direct sense of the term," another user added. "This one took me out. I still cannot believe she went on tv with this hair and makeup. I had to Google it when someone posted it because I just knew it was fake. The stylist HATE her with a fiery passion," one tweeted. 

People even came at her stylist. "Her stylist has been putting her in unflattering stuff for YEARS. And the slicked-down-stick-straight hair is terrible for bigger women, too," one tweeted. "Clearly her hair, makeup and wardrobe people detest her. That red jacket is particularly horrible. I'm sure they are laughing their asses off behind her back," another user wrote without mincing their words.

Which begs the question of the identity of the stylist - who is this woman who seemingly hates Meghan McCain.

Who is Meghan McCain's stylist Carmen Currie?

Earlier this month, McCain herself revealed the identity of the stylist. She took to Instagram to praise her stylist's versatility and love of experimentation that matches her own. " I have been working with the incredible, talented, creative angel Carmen Currie @ccprostyles - she does BOTH my hair and makeup every day!" she wrote in the Instagram video that put on display a montage of her different styles.

"It has been so amazing to be able to have fun and play with glam again (safely and covid tested) with someone who likes to mix it up as much as I do!" McCain wrote."Thank you @ccprostyles for making me feel human again after giving birth! Here’s a small compilation of her work!" she added. 

On Instagram, Carmen describes herself as a professional makeup artist, hair stylist, wig maker, and traveling freelance artist. And going by their interaction on social media, it doesn't look like the stylist hates McCain. If anything, they seem to share a more than friendly, cordial working relationship. 

Her Instagram page is a mix of work and personal images. She also shared a post compiling her work on McCain. "I feel blessed to have a creative release during COVID. Safely of course. Hair and makeup by me ☺️Don’t forget to watch to see what we do next!" she had written. To which, McCain replied, "You’re a creative genius! It’s a pleasure and a privilege to work with you every day! ❤️"

This new working relationship comes after the 2019 Daily Beast report that McCain tried to get 'The View's longtime makeup artist  Karen Dupiche fired because she 'liked' a video montage posted on Twitter by liberal CNN commentator Angela Rye that criticized her.
