BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA: A lecturer at LSU was prohibited from teaching at the university after leaving a profanity-filled voicemail for a Louisiana State Senator who voted to ban gender-affirming healthcare for children. Following his affirmative vote on House Bill 648, Republican State Senator Mike Fesi is said to have received the enraged message on his cellphone from Professor Marcus Venable.

As per Daily Mail, the "Stop Harming Our Kids Act" bill prohibits gender-affirming operations, hormone therapies, and other related services for those under 18. It also outlaws the use of medications that stop puberty. Fesi used tales of individuals who had received such treatment but later regretted it to support his stance. Conservative commentator Greg Price released a voicemail Venable supposedly left for Senator Fesi.

According to LSU spokesman Abbi Rocha Laymoun in an email sent on Thursday, July 20 in the evening, Venable will no longer be teaching on campus in the future due to the ominous message. Rocha Laymoun stated, "As a university, we foster open and respectful dialogue. Like everyone, graduate students with teaching assignments have the right to express their opinions, but this profanity-filled, threatening call crossed the line. This does not exhibit the character we expect of someone given the privilege of teaching as part of their graduate assistantship. The student will be allowed to continue their studies but will not be extended the opportunity to teach in the future."

Who is Marcus Venable?

Marcus Venable is an LSU graduate sociology assistant who allegedly called a Republican senator a "f*cking moron" and a "fat f****** piece of sh*t" in response to a vote in favor of banning medications and surgeries that would change the gender of minors. Venable had been a sociology department professor. His research interests are stated as criminology, sex offender recidivism, sexual assault, and sex offender registries. Venable was immediately barred from returning to the lecture halls to conduct seminars at LSU. Venable is still going to be permitted to study on campus because he is a graduate student at the university.

With effect from January 1, the law that was passed will no longer allow certain kid sex alteration treatments. Venable made no effort to hide his rage in his voicemail regarding Fesi's stance. Venable began by saying, "I just wanted to say 'Congratulations, to our State Senator, Big Mike Fesi. And that f***ing moron voted to make things worse for people who are already suffering. You fat f***ing piece of sh**."

Venable snarled in the 50-second voicemail: "You did not produce any g**d*** evidence to support the claims you made about people being harmed by transgender care, yet we've had tons of empirical evidence telling us there's an increased suicide risk for people who don't get this care. So you, you big fat headed mother f***er, I can't wait to read your name in the f***ing obituary."

"I will make a goddamn martini made from the tears of your butthurt conservatives when we put your f***ing a** in the ground, you fat f***ing useless piece of sh*t." He concluded, "F*** you. I hope you have a terrible day. Go f*** yourself."

'This is appalling!'

Price's tweet was retweeted by national conservative commenters, including the extreme right account Libs of TikTok, and also by Louisiana Legislature conservatives, who urged LSU to fire Venable. Republican Sen Stewart Cathey of Monroe, Rep Blake Miguez of Erath, Rep Beryl Amedee of Houma, and Rep Beryl Amedee of Erath also shared tweets denouncing the LSU professor. US Representative Clay Higgins also sent a tweet that appeared to allude to Venable's demise.

Soon after the release of Venable's audio, Internet users immediately took to Twitter to condemn the LSU professor for such derogatory remarks. One Twitter user commented, "WTF my daughters attend @LSU and this is appalling!" A second user exclaimed, "Without a doubt @LSU will soon be looking for a new professor to fill this imminent vacancy. What decorum. What graciousness. What exquisite language coming from a college professor." A third Twitter user seethed, "I wish LSU would take action against him BUT college professors seem immune." A fourth one wrote, "Not a normal person.” Sadly, professors like this are an easy A+ all the students know. Just serve him back his personal opinions and you get the grade. My kids had that experience in mandatory college brainwashing classes. Not worth the trouble to think or discuss—they can’t. They are mentally not okay and completely irrational. Just. Write. Their. Opinion. Keep your head low!"

Another one exclaimed about sending their kids to LSU and wrote, "@LSU real top notch professional staff you have there… I will be rethinking where I’m sending my three teenage sons to school now… Auburn seems like a better choice if this is the quality of professors that will be educating them." Someone else wrote, "They will probably replace this individual with scrapings off of the bottom of the same sewage pond, but of course this one will be sure to tick a couple more boxes on the diversity check-list, as the highest priority qualifications." One more Twitter user suggested, "Wow this guy is a professional… seems like he needs help… maybe a leave of absence not paid might help him out."
