Rio put in considerable effort, but it was Nozomi who managed to be the first to bring flowers to Dong Kyu, earning the chance to partner with him.

In her personal video confession, Rio opened up about not being accustomed to pursuing love actively. She admitted that she struggles to express her feelings clearly but confessed a genuine liking for Kim Dong Kyu.
Rio shared that being around him gives her a fluttery feeling, and she felt disappointed not to have the chance to partner with him.
"I've never actively pursued a man or love before. Maybe my old ways came out again," she said. "I ended up liking Dong Kyu and i think he's really adorable," Rio added. She said how when he came to help her while Rio was doing dishes gave her "butterflies."

During a casual outing for dumplings, Dong Kyu excused himself abruptly, claiming he needed to use the restroom.
However, he made a quick detour to a nearby flower shop, purchasing a bouquet for Nozomi. When he returned to the food shop, he presented her with the flowers, and her joy was unmistakable.
Even when the two went to the coffee shop later, upon Nozomi's asking, Dong Kyu revealed that he never wanted to pair up with anyone other than her and that the sunflower has a different connotation, which he called a "secret."
