Who is Kathy Chen? Asian-American woman urinated on by White man in his 60s in NYC subway, no one offers help
A man in his 60s is now a suspect after urinating on a 25-year-old Asian woman on the New York City subway. The incident occurred over the weekend on the Queen-bound F train. The victim was riding the northbound train at around 1.30 pm on Saturday when a man in a mask approached her and stood uncomfortably close to her.
Chen, who spoke to a blogger about this incident, recalled, "While I was sitting down on the F train going towards Queens, a white male walked into the train car I was in. He entered from the train car behind and stopped next to me. He started standing really close to me and I began to feel uncomfortable. So I scooted to my right and noticed that his penis was pointed at me and that there was urine on my bag and jacket. We made eye contact but he didn’t say anything. I only said one thing, `Are you serious?!’ As I looked around, none of the bystanders said or did anything. He got off the train at 75th Ave."

No one who was traveling with her helped her or questioned the man in the mask. Despite the situation, Chen managed to take a picture of the man after he got off the train. Chen had described him as a white male in his 60’s, who is about 6 feet tall with grey eyebrows. In the picture, he was seen in all black and had a black ski mask on.
She also said that she was shook and only got off on the last stop where a co-passenger in front of her gave her a video of the incident that occurred. She said, "I considered getting off the train and reporting the incident to the police immediately but I was alone and afraid. So I kept riding the train until the last stop. A bystander in front of me took a video and sent it to me. From the bystander’s angle in the video, you can’t tell what the man was doing. He like projected his penis at me."
This incident comes amid protests regarding hate crimes against people of Asian descent in the US. Chen did file a harassment report with the police, however, he is yet to be caught.
However, this is not the only incident that saw an Asian person getting attacked. 68-year-old Narayange Bodhi was attacked by a White man in the NYC subway car. A witness who was present when the attack took place recalled that the attacker had yelled “You motherf**king Asian". The witness who happens to be a 9/11 survivor attempted to capture the attacker, however, he managed to escape at Franklin Street Station. However, the police have since arrested Marc Mathieu, 38, from the Bronx.
