SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA: Elon Musk, once branded as a free-speech absolutist has now denied reinstating Alex Jones's Twitter account who is a right-wing conspiracy theorist and Sandy Hook school-shooting denier. This led to a massive debate online where some supported Musk's decision and some slammed him. However, there was one surprise comment from someone who lost his little brother in the Sandy Hook shooting and that is JT Lewis. He is in favor of bringing back Jones's account.

When Musk was asked to reinstate Alex Jones, he immediately replied with a "No" and moved on. Jones made remarks regarding the school shooting that were later deemed to be defamatory as he called the shooting a fake. JT Lewis lost his brother Jesse Lewis, 6, a first grader who was a victim of the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. However, he tweeted to Musk convincing him to bring Jones back with an explanation that banning him would only give more affirmation. Lewis wrote, "Elon, I lost my brother in Sandy Hook. My family has been harassed by hoaxers for a decade. But you should reinstate Alex Jones. Coordinated efforts to censor and ban him off social media only deepens his base by, in their eyes, substantiating their crazy conspiracy theories!"
