Who is Jordyn Lamb? Mollie Tibbets' boyfriend Dalton Jack grilled over affair with woman
BROOKLYN, IOWA: Dalton Jack, the boyfriend of murdered University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts was grilled on the witness stand on Tuesday, May 25, as the defense tried to paint him as an alternative suspect to accused killer Cristhian Bahena Rivera. On July 18, 2018, Tibbetts, an American University of Iowa student disappeared while jogging near her home in Brooklyn, Iowa.
A month later, police identified 24-year-old Rivera as a suspect in connection with the disappearance. The police found Tibbetts' body in a Poweshiek County cornfield on August 21, 2018. Rivera was charged with first-degree murder. As per reports, defense attorney Chad Frese questioned the boyfriend, Jack, about an affair he had with a woman named Jordyn Lamb (some reports have spelled her name as Jordan) that led Tibbetts to take off her promise ring. Jack reportedly admitted it was because of his relationship — “our affair I guess you would call it” — with Lamb.

Who is Jordyn Lamb?
This is not the first time Lamb’s name has come up. Last week, on May 19, during cross-examination, Frese asked Jack about his affair with Jordyn Lamb that occurred in late 2017. On Tuesday, Frese reportedly asked several questions regarding Jack’s fidelity to Tibbetts. He alleged that Jack's infidelity occurred through text messages and Snapchat conversations and in-person encounters in 2017 and 2018.
The Daily Iowan reporter Rachel Schilke tweeted the court proceedings live. “Frese asks questions about the connection between Dalton Jack, Jordyn Lamb, and Mollie Tibbetts. Dalton made the prior testimony his relationship with Lamb lasted one day,” she wrote on Twitter. “Dalton spent considerable time looking at messages from 2018 regarding a conversation between himself and Mollie about Lamb.”
She further reported, “Dalton said prior to this conversation, he had unadded Lamb off Snapchat.” She also wrote, “Frese said Lamb had messaged Mollie on April 9, 2018. Same day, Mollie had confronted Dalton with screenshots from a conversation between Lamb and Dalton. Dalton said he could not recall whether this happened or not.”
She also reported, “Dalton said after reviewing the messages, he still does not remember. ‘This is my phone number on that page and that’s her phone number on that page, so that conversation is between us’.”

Frese questioned Jack about text conversations he and Tibbetts had on various issues. He asked Jack if he mentioned to her that he had a temper and Jack said he didn’t remember. He questioned Jack about another time when they had relationship issues. “You recall on October of 30, 2017, you and Mollie’s relationship kind of hit a real bump, didn’t it,” Frese asked. Jack said he didn’t recall.
Frese also questioned whether Jack was really away working on a construction crew at the time Tibbetts was abducted while out running. “The details were few and far between as far as the specificity of your activities on the evenings of July 18 and July 17 to investigating agents, right?” Frese asked. “I thought they were pretty clear,” Jack replied. “You couldn’t recall what night you got drunk and what night you stayed in the room, could you?” Frese asked. “I don’t recall saying that,” Jack said.
