MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA: Jessica Rosenberg, who is described as "a Reconstructionist rabbi born, raised, and based in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs," has earned the Internet’s support after confronting President Joe Biden and demanding a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

The 80-year-old POTUS was addressing a crowd of 200 donors at a private Minneapolis fundraiser on Wednesday, November 1 when Rosenberg stood up and said, "Mr President, if you care about Jewish people, as a rabbi, I need you to call for a ceasefire right now."

Rosenberg supposedly became "a rabbi in order to learn our people's diverse and nuanced histories, and create spaces, ritual, and organizing that helps transform our relationship to past, present, and future."

She describes herself as a "queer Jewish woman obsessed with Jewish history," and has been active in her advocacy for Palestinian rights and LGBTQ+ rights.

Following the incident, Rosenberg was escorted out by security as she sang "ceasefire now," according to Daily Mail.

How did Joe Biden respond to Jessica Rosenberg’s demands?

After being confronted by Jessica Rosenberg, President Joe Biden politely replied, "I think we need a pause. A pause means to give time to get the prisoners out."

"I'm the guy that convinced Bibi (Netanyahu) to call for a ceasefire to let the prisoners out. I'm the guy that talked to (Egyptian President) Sisi to convince him to open the door," continued the POTUS.

Later, the White House emphasized that Biden was speaking about the hostages, not the inmates that Hamas had taken captive during its onslaught on Israel on October 7, which resulted in the deaths of 1,400 people and over 200 more being held hostage.

The dramatic scene at the private fundraiser came after Biden made a forceful plea to Israel to stop its attack on the Gaza strip while mentioning the "devastating" photos he had seen of children in the region weeping for their parents.

Notably, the Biden administration has repeatedly spoken about the need to follow the "rules of war" while refusing to respond to individual incidents or tell Israel publicly how to conduct their retaliation.

The tightrope walk is taking place as the US is reportedly ready to provide Israel billions more in military funding.

"We're going to continue to affirm that Israel has the right to – and responsibility – to defend citizens from terror and needs to do so in a manner consistent with international and humanitarian law, but that prioritizes the protection of citizens," previously remarked Biden.

Internet reacts to Jessica Rosenberg demanding Joe Biden to call for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas

After a video of Jessica Rosenberg demanding President Joe Biden to call for a ceasefire surfaced on social media, several netizens came forward to show support for the rabbi.

"She is speaking on behalf of thousands of American Jews who say Not In Our Name! We refuse to allow a genocide to be carried out in our names," wrote one.

Another added, "Thank you Rabbi for your courage and for speaking out," while a user asserted, "They let her speak until she said "ceasefire"."

"The whispered pearl-clutching that starts *the* instant Rabbi Rosenberg stands to her feet is wild...," opined a person, as one more said, "she's an angel on earth."

Someone else mentioned, "How little humanity do you have to have to complain about a rabbi having the courage to stand up to the president and call for a CEASEFIRE. Those in the crowd should be ashamed of themselves."

"Yes! More power to you! A ceasefire is very much needed as what Palestinian civilians are having to go through is heartbreaking," stated another.
