MOREAU, NEW YORK: Jene Sena, the devastated aunt of Charlotte Sena, who claims to be handling the media for the family, recently stated that state police are not sharing any information concerning the search for the nine-year-old Saratoga County girl.

Charlotte, a student at Corinth Central Elementary School, mysteriously vanished while camping with her family in New York's Moreau Lake State Park and was last seen at around 6.15 pm on Saturday, September 30, when she split off from her friends to cycle a lap of the trail loop A by herself.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing an orange tie-dye Pokemon T-shirt, dark blue pants, black Crocs, and a gray bike helmet, as per Daily Mail.

Authorities described her as White with blonde hair, standing 4 ft 6 in (137 cm) and weighing 90 lbs (40 kg).

Jene expressed that they are devastated by the situation and are praying for her safe return.

What did Jene Sena say about Charlotte Sena?

In an interview with CBS6 News, Jene Sena, who claimed to be a journalist, described Charlotte Sena as a loving and kind little girl, adding that she was recently nominated by her fourth-grade class to be a student council member.

She said, "That no tip is insignificant, so if anyone has any information at all, saw anything in the vicinity of the entrance of the Moreau Lake State Park, or is camping here and has any information at all."

The devastated aunt was later featured on the ‘DutyRon’ podcast, where she claimed that if there is any new information the state police isn’t sharing it with them.

"I know the state police are out there, I know they are doing their job. In my 20 years of journalism, there are more police than I have ever seen. But if there is any information, they are not really sharing it with us," stated Jene.

She later continued by asserting that Charlotte didn’t have a cell phone with her. "Believe it or not, she didn’t. That (cellphone) was something that my sister-in-law didn’t want," claimed the aunt.

When was an Amber Alert for Charlotte Sena issued?

An Amber Alert was issued for nine-year-old Charlotte Sena at around 9.30 am on Sunday, October 1, after police extensively searched the Moreau Lake State Park.

Authorities were reportedly called to the scene at 6.37 pm, nearly thirty minutes after Charlotte's parents, David and Trisha, started looking for her.

After an initial search, police found Charlotte's bike near Loop A, but there were no signs of the fourth grader.

"Charlotte Sena was taken under circumstances that led police to believe that (she is) in imminent danger of serious harm and/or death," stated authorities in the alert.

Since then, more than 100 personnel, including 75 law enforcement officials, have been deployed in the search, which also includes dogs, two drones, boats, and six underwater rescue teams.

In a press conference, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul promised that "no stone" would be left unturned in the search for the fourth grader.

"Hearts are broken today here in New York. Hopefully, there will be a reunion, hopefully, there will be a family that has been traumatized but reunited," said the governor, adding, "We will leave no stone, no branch, no table, no cabin unturned, untouched, unexamined in our search for Charlotte Sena."
