GWINNETT COUNTY, ATLANTA: A 44-year-old Georgia man was arrested for allegedly raping a woman after luring her into his apartment for a "cleansing ritual." Hassan Shalgheen, or as police describe him — a "witch doctor" — was charged with two counts of rape, false imprisonment, theft by deception, and sexual battery.
Duluth police officers responded to a sexual assault call at 11.15 pm on Sunday, February 12. When the police arrived at the Berkeley Landing apartments on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, they found the woman outside her perpetrator's house, who further explained to the police the horrifying ordeal.

Who is Hassan Shalgheen?
Hassan Shalgheen, a 44-year-old, Georgia man is described as a "witch doctor." He lured the victim into his apartment in Gwinnett County, around 20 miles northeast of Atlanta, claiming to cleanse by performing a "ritual." Duluth police officers found the woman outside his apartment and told them she had been raped by Shalgheen. She told the police after entering his apartment he forced her to take her clothes off and later sexually assaulted her.
The woman reportedly sent the "witch doctor" two online payments totaling $500 for the alleged ritual services. Police bodycam footage shows the 44-year-old sitting on the stairs while being handcuffed. A neighbor claimed they had seen multiple women going in and out of Shalgheen's apartment, according to WSB-TV. The Duluth police raided Shalgheen's home later that night after arresting him.
'Police urge additional victims to come forward!'
"We're here to execute a search warrant. I'm going to have my copies here with me, and also, we got a search warrant for mucus swabs, DNA," one of the officers was heard telling Shalgheen. Scores of police officers, some donned shields and helmets could be seen outside Shalgheen's apartment through the bodycam footage. However, the "witch doctor" appeared to be calm as he sat on the staircase.
Shalgheen was arrested and taken into custody at Gwinnett County Adult Detention Center. The 44-year-old's bond is set at $5,900. Simultaneously police have urged additional victims of Shalgheen to come forward.
