WASHINGTON, DC: One of the veterans in CNN, Federico S Quadrani, has been asked to leave the organization amid allegations of an affair with his staffers. The former executive producer of the popular Jake Tapper show was relieved from his job after several complaints of being involved in at least two romantic relationships with his subordinates. “There were some complaints. No one had proof, and these things are hard to prove. Jake was aware of the investigation,” said an insider to New York Post.

He was asked to go along with others in a source called ‘an HR investigation of sorts.’ It was on Friday 10 when his close aide was fired while the internal inquiry was still on. “Jake was made aware of it and acted quickly. Someone discovered something accidentally and brought it to Tapper. He delivered it to [human resources], and they were terminated,” claimed the second source. Currently, a CNN spokesperson refuses to comment on the allegation, and instead played it down that CNN would “not comment on personnel matters.” And it was no surprise that Quadrani remained mum too on the matter.

Who is Federico Quadrani?

Federico Quadrani was a veteran of the CNN network and joined the organization after moving from MSNBC to Tapper’s show in 2013. He came to Washington, DC, from NYC for work. He had experience working on the “Today” show as well between 2003 and 2009 and was also part of ABC’s “Good Morning America” from 1998 to 2003. Quadrani earned the nickname of ‘golden boy’ at NBC, and was casually called ‘Fede.’

Many of his former colleagues at CNN are still in shock after two of their coworkers didn’t return to work this week. “They’re consenting adults and no one’s particularly feeling like this is some big scandal,” the second source told Page Six. Interestingly, Quadrani’s Instagram and Twitter account bio still reflects his association with CNN as exec producer of Tapper’s show as of Tuesday, February 14.

CNN's previous controversies

The incident comes into the limelight just after a year when Zucker and Gollust were let go for having affair in the office. It was in February last year when CNN Worldwide President Jeff Zucker announced his decision to resign from the network after an internal probe on Chris Cuomo found out about his romantic affair with CNN's Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Allison Gollust.
