LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Derak Green is a contestant on 'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14, a cooking competition show where amateur chefs compete for a chance to win the title of MasterChef and a cash prize. In the new episode, Derak presented his dish, Sticky Pork Belly with Smoked Gouda Grits and Fried Quail Egg, for evaluation by the judges.

Visually, Derak's dish was impressive and caught the judges' attention. However, when it came to tasting, the judges had mixed reviews. Gordon Ramsay, one of the judges, complimented the flavor of the pork belly but criticized the texture of the grits, describing them as too gummy. Aarón Sánchez compared the dish unfavorably to "quick-service Chinese," indicating that it lacked the sophistication expected on the show.

Lidia Bastianich, another judge, enjoyed the taste overall but agreed that the dish didn't meet the standard required for advancement in the competition. Unfortunately for Derak, the judges' critique led to him being criticized for ruining the sticky pork belly dish. As a result, he was ultimately sent home without receiving an apron, ending his journey on 'MasterChef: Generations' Season 14.
