It hasn't been long since Chrissy Teigen shared her woes about being on social media and quit Twitter altogether. The once-Twitter queen's departure from the social networking site might have left her fans feeling sad, but Courtney Stodden is slamming her for saying she quit because the negative comments had "deeply bruised" her.

The 26-year-old singer and model slammed Teigen for being "hypocritical", claiming that they were bullied on the social media platform when they were only 16. These are pretty serious claims but Stodden has screenshots to prove them. Stodden came out as non-binary on April 13, 2021, with an Instagram post that read: "They/them/theirs,"

'What a shame'

Taking to social media channels on Friday, Stodden shared an October 2011 tweet from Teigen after her page was removed from Facebook. At the time, Chrissy had written, "Saying courtney stodden's FB age got shut down for being too sexy is like saying the nazi's were just meanies. As in, not quite." These comments had reportedly been made when Courtney, then-16-year-old, had tied the knot with the then-51-year-old 'The Green Mile' actor Doug Hutchinson.

And now with Teigen quitting social media altogether, Stodden is hitting back at her pointing out to the time when they were on the receiving end of this negativity. "What a shame @chrissyteigen is leaving Twitter... it's too "negative" for herrrrrr #chrissyteigen #bully." They added, "'Bullying can leave life long scars. Be kind. #Mentalhealth."

Support for Stodden

Ever since Stodden shared their story on social media, there are many who have come out in support of them and slamming Teigen. "Chrissy Teigen bullied a 15 year old Courtney Stodden for no reason on twitter b/c Courtney married a 50 year old man who preyed on/groomed her. Chrissy Teigen was an adult doing this. She made a career for herself bullying others, you reap what you sow. Good riddance," one tweeted. "Also told a minor (Courtney stodden) to kill herself at 16 after being groomed and marrying Doug Hutchison," another user came out in support of Stodden while listing all the wrong things that Teigen has said.

A user tweeted, "Interesting- people keep asking “how did Chrissy bully @CourtneyStodden?” Careful tweeting the answer- because NOW the same crap Chrissy spewed at Courtney violates guidelines and you’ll get your account locked for answering that question. just got mine back."

Chrissy quit Twitter

On March 25, to the surprise of 13.1 million followers and fans across the world, Teigen tweeted that she has quit social media. Saying that "her life goal is to make people happy" but the platform was now serving her "negatively", she announced that she was going to keep away for a while.

"My desire to be liked and fear of p***ing people off has made me somebody you didn’t sign up for, and a different human than I started out here as! Live well, tweeters. Please know all I ever cared about was you!" she said, adding, "I have to come to terms with the fact some people aren’t gonna like me."

"I hate letting people down or upsetting people and I feel like I just did it over and over and over. Someone can’t read that they disappointed you in some way every single day, all day without physically absorbing that energy. I can feel it in my bones," she added.
