LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Actress Constance Wu delighted her fans by announcing that she was expecting her second child earlier this year. In a recent episode of the 'Prettysmart' podcast, the 'Crazy Rich Asians' star revealed that she had given birth to her new baby. However, details about the baby's name and other details have not been shared publicly.
During her appearance on Danielle Robay's podcast while promoting her upcoming book 'Making a Scene', Wu discussed dedicating the book to her 2-year-old daughter, whose name remains private. It seems that Constance is embracing motherhood and sharing glimpses of her personal life while maintaining some level of privacy for her family.
'Nobody knew I had a son'
"Breaking news," she told Robay. "Nobody knew I had a son." The 'Hustlers' actress added, "We were so shocked. I knew from the blood test." She explained her shock by saying her "mom had four girls" and she thought she was "only going to have girls."
When asked if there was a difference between having a girl versus a boy, the actress explained, "It feels unfair for me to say this is different because he’s a boy. I think a lot of the difference I’m experiencing are [that] he’s a different person. It’s not because of his sex." As it is their second baby, Wu and her partner are having "less anxiety around [having a baby]." The actress found that "it feels like we have a different kid, but not because of the sex. It’s still early."
