SASEUNGBONG-DO, SOUTH KOREA: Netflix's hit Korean dating show, 'Single's Inferno', is back for another season of real-life K-drama this week. Before jumping onto the first two episodes of Season 2, meet one of the hopefuls, Choi Jong-woo, who signed up for the show in the hope of meeting his future wife! Yes, a monk told him that. And yes, monks love Korean reality shows on hot singles.

According to FlixPatrol, the streaming analytics company, the series — which was the first Korean reality show to join Netflix's global top 10 earlier in 2022 — follows a group of singletons who spend several days together on a remote island and participate in a series of games in search of true love. In each game round, the participants battle for a chance to win a night in "paradise" with another player in a luxurious hotel away from the island. Only those who choose each other at the end of each round are able to enjoy the exclusive hotel stay as a pair. Can Jong-woo find "the one" on his journey to an uninhabited island off the coast of Incheon?

Who is Choi Jong-woo?

Jong-woo admitted in a personal interview that he has "never dated anyone who he seriously liked," where he was completely certain that he liked them. So he signed up for Season 2 of 'Single's Inferno' to find that somebody. Most significantly, he got his fortune told, and the monk predicted that if he appeared on the show, he would meet someone he "might end up marrying." That's how he decided to participate in the Netflix show. Jong-woo claims that he prefers women with pretty eyes. If he meets someone on 'Single's Inferno', he plans to express himself a lot, "even if it's nerve-wracking," and do his best to make her like him. Jong-woo attributes his attractiveness to his "empathy" and "sensitivity" as well as the way the corners of his mouth "naturally curl upward."

When asked about himself, Jong-woo says that he enjoys sports. He used to be a soccer player and has played since elementary school. But now he enjoys playing soccer or futsal on teams with his pals as a hobby. He is quite competitive as he was an athlete. He's quite assured of his "strength during games." Furthermore, he currently boasts of only around 7,500 followers (which is sure to increase as the current season gets popular). He also recently shared his first-ever vlog on his YouTube channel, where he is nearing 200 followers. Even though Jong-woo has his comments section on his Instagram turned off, his recent posts indicate he might be into modeling and does photoshoots on the side.

Catch the tall, baby face, with high cheekbones Jong-woo in Season 2 of 'Single's Inferno' as she searches for her perfect match.

'Single's Inferno' Season 2 premiered on Tuesday, December 13, on Netflix.
