Who is Amanda Carter?
Carter is a 26-year-old woman, working as a Senior Financial Analyst at Bank of America in Charlotte. The North Carolina native is the daughter of Rebecca Carter and David Ryan Carter and has four siblings -- Bradley, Jason, David Ryan Jr, and Kristen. Though it’s not exactly known since when Carter and Wallace started seeing each other, fans believe they have been dating since 2016. In 2018, in an Instagram post, Wallace reportedly said, “Our love is so strong that ya wouldn’t know we’re polar opposites. Thanks for balancing me out the last 2 years!”
Reports also say that the pair broke up sometime three years ago, but came back stronger and have been together ever since. Last year, when a noose was found in Wallace's garage, Carter showed her support to him. At the time, NASCAR announced a probe into the racist act and Carter wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post: “We must continue the conversation, no one is exempt from taking a look at themselves, the fact I date a black man does not exempt me. We all have prejudice and need to take action to change that and prevent it from becoming racism. Thank you to those who have been working toward a better future whether that is in private or public, these waves will bring change Additionally thank you to all of my friends, family and of course Darrell's fans who have reached out with support I share your messages with him and he appreciates it too. #blacklivesmatter.”
Carter and Wallace also shared their time together during the coronavirus pandemic on social media and welcomed their Aussiedoodle dog named Asher. “We've just been really enjoying Asher. He's been a really good dog, like an extremely good dog. He makes it really hard to leave during the day. But he's a blast and we've just been really enjoying our time together with him. The pandemic hit and gave us an opportunity for both of us to be home,” Wallace told PEOPLE in March.
