Who is Aryna Sabalenka's boyfriend? Tennis star's IG is full of pics with Konstantin Kolstov
Belarusian professional tennis player Aryna Sabalenka displayed some unprofessional behavior on Saturday, August 14, as Karolina Pliskova rolled into the final of the WTA hardcourt tournament in Montreal with a 6-3 6-4 victory. Sabalenka later apologized for her reaction to the loss.
Sabalenka, as per ESPN, began to settle in midway through the second set, coming toward the net, then dropping shots behind her opponent. Pliskova stayed ahead, saving a breakpoint with an ace and two other serves Sabalenka couldn't control.

Sabalenka flung her racquet in disgust at the end of the second set. Mortified by her conduct, she apologized later for that and her rushed handshake at the net where she barely acknowledged Pliskova. “My behavior today was not professional. I want to apologize for this,” she wrote on her Instagram Story. “@KarolinaPliskova was better today.” The tennis player added, “PS sorry for that handshake… I just completely lost my mind in that moment,” and a facepalm emoji.
“I’m quite calm. Of course, I have some nerves and emotions but I try not to show it that much,” Pliskova said after the win. “There is a lot of things happening on the court but I think the main thing is just to have a goal and follow that goal.” she added, "I think I was super solid today. Just did everything I was supposed to do to win this match.” Sabalenka is reportedly seeded No. 3 at the US Open that’s scheduled to start on August 30.
Who is Aryna Sabalenka dating?
As per reports, Sabalenka had previously revealed that she was engaged during a TV interview back in 2019 not revealing the name of her fiance but did say he is not from Belarus. As per Essentially Sports, while the 23-year-old player has been linked to a few names over the years, she has been in a relationship with Konstantin Koltsov, a former Belarusian ice hockey player.
As per FirstSportz, the couple was spotted together in Paris after Sabalenka’s French Open 2021 exit in the 3rd round. It is unclear, however, if she was talking about Koltsov in the 2019 TV interview — although that seems unlikely given he is Belarusian.
In 2016, Koltsov reportedly announced his retirement from professional sports. He last played for HC Dinamo Minsk in the Kontinental Hockey League. Koltsov has played on the Belarus national team in the Winter Olympics and IIHF World Championships. He was also drafted to the NHL in the 1999 entry draft as the Pittsburgh Penguins' first-round pick. In August 2006, he returned to Russia, signing a contract to play for Salavat Yulaev Ufa of the Russian Super League.
Both Sabalenka and Koltsov share photos with each other on their Instagram accounts. Between stories and posts, Sabalenka appears very open about her relationship with Koltsov. The latter, who has only 784 followers on the platform, has the tennis player in three of his four posts.
