Who is Aimen Dean? Jihadi-turned-MI6 agent says Taliban sees Joe Biden as 'old grandpa'
Aimen Dean, a former al-Qaeda operative-turned-MI6 agent has fired a series of shocking revelations about failures of US foreign policy and what the Taliban thinks of Joe Biden and Trump on a new podcast called 'Conflicted'.
In the podcast, Dean shared how he believes the Taliban saw Joe Biden as an ‘old grandpa’ who is not feared the way Donald Trump was. Dean described Trump as a “bully” who had what it takes to force the Taliban to retreat from the capital through a show of force, which the Taliban would have respected. “Biden is a little grandpa, the Taliban thought he'd never drop the MOAB (Mother of All Bombs) on them because he's harmless”. The former al-Qaeda bomb-maker proceeded to point out how Biden made serious tactical errors which were key in the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan. “He made an error when he immediately said he was going to review the peace deal that Trump had."

Dean went on to say how Mike Pompeo knew what he was doing when he recommended withdrawing of forces around May. “The Mujahideen are seasonal, they join during the summer and leave during winter — they swell the rank. Meaning the Taliban is only at 25 percent over winter” he added.
In the most recent episode Dean discussed how Biden’s tactics failed in Afghanistan and that Trump saw the Afghanistan situation for what it really was, 'a money-making scheme for US and Afghan’s corruption'. “Trump is an expert at recognizing lost causes because so many of his businesses have failed”. Dean went on to reveal that both Trump and Biden thought US taxpayer’s money should not be spent on Afghanistan and saw the military as the last resort. However, only Trump could prove "his willingness for power". “We have a saying in Arabic, Biden would let the cat have his dinner and offer more,” Dean added.
Who is Aimen Dean?
Aimen Dean (born Abu al-Abbas) was born in Saudi Arabia. In the 1980s, during his childhood, the idea of opposition to the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan was gaining grounds. Aimen was only 15 when Serb nationalists began their genocide on Bosnian Muslims. He set off to join the Mujahideen and fought in Bosnia before he was invited to Afghanistan to pledge his allegiance to Osama bin Laden in person.
The 1998 attack on the American Embassy in Kenya shook him to identify the mad blood lust among his fellow fighters which was altogether different from his interpretation of Islamic texts. De contacted British intelligence and started working for MI5 and MI6 as an undercover agent in 1999. He warned British intelligence of terror threats for 8 years before his cover was blown by a US intelligence leak in 2006.
