You don't need to be a coffee connoisseur to tell a good brew from a bad one. There's something about the rich smell and deep taste of a good cup of joe that can instantly brighten your day. With coffee shops and cafes popping up all over the place, it's safe to say that we're all spoiled for choice.

But, there are definitely some places that stand apart from the rest — all thanks to the passion and care that goes into making that perfect cup.

Enter Travis and Cathleen Rivera, the couple behind Black and Brass Coffee Roasting Co, an artisanal coffee roasting coffee house that takes its coffee very seriously. The couple built their brand from the ground up, creating a unique line of products, along with opening three coffee houses.

With a growing brand and increasing popularity, it comes as no surprise that these self-made entrepreneurs have found themselves on the latest episode of 'Self-Made Mansions'. So what makes their brand Black and Brass Coffee Roasting Co so special?

Turns out, it's extreme attention to detail. The brand takes pride in the fact that its products are compostable, local and organic. More importantly, through their coffee and coffee houses, the Riveras work towards instilling a sense of community, creative conversation and culture.

In an interview with Fox56, Travis Rivera spoke about just what his brand stands for. "Our doors are open to everyone, it doesn't matter what stage you are in life. What philosophies you carry, a coffee house is a place where you can come together and express ideas. Sometimes differing, in a way that creates unity and community," is what he had to say.

The couple didn't expect to be a part of the show, seeing that HGTV reached out to them to be part of the season. With the show's context in mind and the fact that their brand has grown exponentially in the past five years, the Riveras were a perfect fit.

With the help of Clinton Kelly, the award-winning host of 'Chew' and 'What Not To Wear', the Riveras find the perfect home in the Poconos. The summary of Episode 6 of 'Self-Made Mansions', reads: "Clinton Kelly helps Jeresha White, creator of the Success Souvenirs Child Development Center childcare empire, and Travis and Cathleen Rivera, owners of the nationally renowned Black and Brass Coffee Roasting Co., find the homes of their dreams."

Catch weekly episodes of 'Self-Made Mansion' every Friday at 8 pm ET/PT only on HGTV.
