Who are the moderators for the second GOP debate? Fox Business to take over hosting duties
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Fox News has finally announced the moderators for the second GOP debate leading up to the 2024 presidential election and it is Stuart Varney, Dana Perino, and Ilia Calderon.
Two of the hosts are from Fox Network while Calderon is joining in from the Spanish-language television network Univision.
The debate will be held at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California on September 27, 2023. A few of the Republican candidates will be ineligible to participate in this event after the first debate.
Second GOP debate moderators are experienced hosts
Varney has been a part of the Fox family for over 15 years. He hosts multiple programs for the network and even has two shows of his own. 'Varney & Co.' is related to business and financial analytics and 'My Take with Stuart Varney' covers news about the economy of the nation.

Dana Perino, like Varney, has been a Fox host for years and has become one of the more significant personalities who are part of the network.
She is currently a regular host for 'America's Newsroom' and serves as a rotating host for 'The Five' as well. Before joining Fox, she worked at the White House under the presidency of George W Bush.
Calderon is a Columbian news show host who works for the most viewed Spanish-language TV channel in the country, Univision. She is the host for their evening news hours and is also the presenter for the weekly magazine of the channel.
Which candidates will be a part of the second GOP debate?
For the last GOP debate that was held on August 23, 2023, there were 8 candidates from the Republican party who were able to join.
Now, the debate will narrow down the eligible candidates according to the support each of them has received while campaigning and only a select few will move a step closer towards the presidential elections.
They will require at least 50,000 donors of unique identities, along with a minimum of 3% of the poll votes (in two different national polls or a combination of one national and two state polls) in their hands.
While former president Donald Trump refused to participate in any and all debates, it has not been finalized whether he will be absent from the second debate as well.
