The United States is increasingly witnessing cases of racial profiling of black and other people of minority communities in the country by its white citizens, the recent case being a white man calling 911 on a black opponent during a basketball game!

Reports state that a man from Virginia called 911 on a black player who had hard fouled him during a pickup basketball game at a gym on Monday.

The incident reportedly occurred at LA Fitness in Dulles, Virginia and left everyone who was in the gym confused.

Although neither of the men involved in the incident has been identified yet, one of the players who played the game with them wrote an account of what exactly happened on social media.

The other player shared a photograph on Twitter of the two men involved in the incident, standing with a police officer outside the court.

The Twitter user "TrapMoneyBenney" also added a caption with the photograph, saying: "Today, for the first time in my life, I experienced someone call the police because they got fouled hard in basketball."

He continued to describe the incident and said that the two men were playing the game together when the taller, black man "screened" the other, knocking him to the ground. The white man reportedly got up and threatened to call the police.

"He gets up, tells everyone he's going to call the police and walks out leaving everyone in the gym confused. We thought he was joking till we saw buddy at the front desk really calling police,' the Twitter user wrote.

A police officer shortly arrived at the scene and asked the two men to step out of the gym to settle their dispute, reports state.

"Cop finally comes and brings them out the gym to talk like it was an elementary school fight. You could tell he was blown cause his time was wasted,' the Twitter user added.

After hearing both the sides in the dispute, the officer just left the scene without making any arrests and the group continued with their game.

There were other players on the court who took videos of the incident and teased the man who called the cops, calling him a "snitch."

In one of the clips, a player asks the officer at the scene if he has ever been called over a basketball foul before, the officer incredulously smiles at the camera and says "no, never have."

The Twitter thread of the incident has gone viral on social media with many users comparing this incident with several other recent cases where white people have called the police over slightest disagreements with black people. The cases also include cops being called on a black Yale student for sleeping in a dormitory and another where a white woman called cops on a black family enjoying a barbecue.
