Sarah Sanders puts divine stamp on Donald Trump presidency: 'God wanted him to become president'
The press secretary also said that her strong faith in Christianity helps her every day and that praying for those who attack her helps her maintain perspective
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday said that "God wanted Donald Trump to be the United States president. She made the statement while appearing on Christain Broadcasting Network.
"I think God calls all of us to fill different roles at different times and I think that He wanted Donald Trump to become president," Sanders said, adding "That's why he's there and I think he has done a tremendous job in supporting a lot of the things that people of faith really care about."
Reports state that Sanders was speaking with CBN News' chief political analyst David Brody and senior Washington correspondent Jennifer Wison in her West Wing office.
