The Biden White House has made it very clear that they have no intention of getting rid of Dr Anthony Fauci despite the calls on social media for the administration to take action. As if to add fuel to the fire, the White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki also said that there is no circumstance where Biden would fire Fauci, calling him a "renowned public servant."

After almost 3,000 private emails sent by Dr Anthony Fauci between January 2020 to June 2020 were obtained by media outlets through the Freedom of Information Act requests in early June 2021, some Republican lawmakers called for his firing. And along with them, their conservative followers lit up social media platforms with the same demand. But the Biden administration is in no mood to listen, making it clear they were "grateful" for Fauci and his team's expertise.

Anthony Fauci slammed for 'profiteering' by writing book on how he handled pandemic

During a briefing, a Fox News reporter said to Jen Psaki, "It seems like there were times that [Fauci] was saying one thing in email and then coming to this microphone and saying something else. Should [Fauci] be held accountable?"

Defending Fauci as a "renowned public servant", Psaki started her explanation by crediting the doctor for his years' worth of research. "We know that Dr Fauci and many members of the NIH team, medical and science experts, because of their work over the last 10 years, we have developed a focus, an effort, an apparatus to fight this pandemic, and we are grateful to them for their work," she said.

"Dr Fauci is a renowned public servant, a civil servant, I should say, career civil servant. He's overseen management of multiple global health crises. And attacks launched on him are certainly something we wouldn't stand by. I understand there's interest in the emails. He's answered a lot of questions on the emails. I don't think I'm going to have much more to add on them from here."

She was then asked if she thinks that the attacks launched against Dr Fauci are political. Psaki said, "I''m going to let Dr. Fauci speak to his own defense of his emails from 17 months ago, before this president even took office."

When asked if Psaki can "imagine any circumstance where President Biden would ever fire him?", she said, "No. Go ahead." On Twitter, Psaki is being trolled for defending Dr Fauci. "Of course not. Ever hear the saying, "thick as thieves"?" one said.

Lebanese-American conservative author, anti-Islam activist, and founder of the anti-Muslim group ACT Brigitte Gabriel tweeted, "Jen Psaki just said Biden would never fire Dr. Fauci. He must know A LOT."

"Fauci's emails shows that he is liar who misled the American ppl. Worse again his support for China & his vested interests in Wuhan Lab at the expense of America & the rest of the world. But that is precisely why he is loved by the Biden Admin- see Jen Psaki. #FauciLiedPeopleDied" another user tweeted.

Another angry user shared, "@PressSec is clearly stonewalling any further information as to the White House’s actions on lying Tony Fauci. He should be charged with treason as well war crimes against the world. The @POTUS and the rest of this administration are a complete and total joke!!!! #firefauci". One user theorized, "Of course Joe Biden won't fire Fauci no matter how much he deserves it, because it's a nice diversion from the border crisis, rising costs of everything, and the general destruction of America by frauds in the White House."
