A California woman has gone viral because of a TikTok video that showed her teaching her four children to kneel to Black women. While Justine Champion’s video has disappeared from TikTok, it has garnered a lot of reactions on Twitter. The White woman first shared the video on TikTok on December 30 that showed her along with her four sons on an outdoor playset. “Me teaching my white boys how to behave,” the caption of the post read.

“Black women are the reason Donald Trump is no longer gonna be our president. They are marching around chanting ‘all hail black women,'” Champion said in the video while her sons bowed and laughed. The Daily Mail reported that one person on Twitter commented on Champion's video and said, “I’m a woman of color and agreed. But it’s annoying when people make these videos just for clout and not because they genuinely agreed.” In response to that, the mother replied, “I know the type you’re talking about, so I’m not upset or anything, but I just wanted to clarify that that’s not why I made this video. If you want to go onto my page and see some of my content you can see some of the things [I] regularly do, the actions that I take to help the communities that are marginalized in the United States.”

Later, Champion reportedly removed the clip and exchanged that with another video that contained a bit of the original content followed by a black woman speaking to the camera, explaining this kind of language is “putting a target on our back.” The original video was shared by New York Times reporter Taylor Lorenz on Twitter. Several users reacted to the video as one tweeted, “Im all for black empowerment but this weird, we are not gods we don't want special treatments we just want respect and opportunities at jobs finances ect.” The second person suggested, “Just vote progressive and support black owned business wtf is this performative nonsense?” “Is she right? Yes. Does she get to become famous for it? No,” the third user commented. The fourth user wrote, “I have never laughed and cringed at the same time before now.”

Another one stated, “yeah, that has to be an attempt at comedy, or a failure of parenting and the education system, sad all around.” “Disgusting. Sick. Vomiting right now,” the sixth person on Twitter said. “Exploiting children to get likes is shameful,” the seventh user remarked.

After receiving criticism from people online, Champion took to Twitter in an attempt to defend herself. She said: “Hi that’s me I took it down after listening to some black women and their concerns. Others want me to put it back up because they loved it. Either way I’m grateful they helped get rid of trump.” However, despite her acknowledgment, people were in no mood to spare her. One user said, “There are thousands of other ways to actually help black women... help us fight for M4All, to defund the police, etc. How about that instead?” “I like how you fetish/objectify black women and your kids into being political playthings, sound like a great mom!” the second user added sarcastically.
