GREENFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS: 'I Wasn't Expecting A Baby' star Porscha has embraced life with her daughter, Sawyer Mali Beta Rose, who recently turned 10. The mother-daughter dup has been relishing their time together with family in Massachusetts. The Lifetime show star is also diligently working towards providing a bright future for her daughter.
Porscha recalled the day she gave birth to her daughter in September 2013, stating, "I am working at my shift. My body started hurting. My stomach was hurting." Despite her high pain tolerance, she admitted, "I'll go to the dentist and I'll like, 'Don't give me the novocaine. Just drill my tooth until I can't stand it anymore.'" However, she noted, "But this pain was nothing I've ever felt before."
She continued, "I left work. My friend ended up picking me up that night. but the pain was just non-stopping, so I was like at this point you have to go to the emergency room to figure out what's wrong with you." It was during this visit to the emergency room for severe abdominal pain that she discovered she was pregnant. The doctors performed an ultrasound and revealed, "You're 39 weeks pregnant and you are in labor. You need to start pushing."
Porscha found herself fully dilated and began to panic, shouting that her mother would be furious. The Lifetime show's mom received a call from her friend and she arrived at the hospital as soon as she could. Porscha's mother, Dionne, recalled in the confessional, "All she kept screaming is, 'My mother's gonna kill me. She doesn't even know I'm having sex."
Porsha explained that she never appeared pregnant and continued to have her period, "It's irregular so it didn't really raise any red flags. If I didn't get it and I'm taking early childhood education classes and I have no idea I'm pregnant."
She disclosed that she conceived her daughter in December 2012 during casual hangouts with a guy. Though she preferred not to divulge his name, Porscha admitted to meeting her baby's father on Facebook. They had a few encounters, and Porscha confessed to having no intentions of anything more serious.

Known for her party-goer lifestyle, in 2012, she worked at a restaurant, Panera Bread. Porscha shared in the latest episode, "I do double shifts. I do dishes. I work on the floor as a busser."
Explaining her motivation, she added, "I'm working because I have a big shoe problem and I love my sneakers and I love my heels. So I worked for my shoes." However, Porscha's life took a drastic turn when she gave birth to Sawyer. Despite the unexpected change, she claimed to have fallen in love with her daughter after her arrival. Porscha praised Sawyer, describing her as, "very outgoing, wild, very lovable."
However, she maintained no contact with Sawyer's father, revealing, "I immediately knew who the dad was. We haven't spoken in months." She continued, "So I actually inboxed him. He moved to Florida. Not really a part of out lives at the moment." She added, "My life with Sawyer is a whirlwind. It's fun. It keeps me on my toes."
She then reflected on motherhood and noted, "I think I did pretty well, like, becoming a mom under the circumstances." She added, "I don't think I would change anything. I love being a mom. She is my best friend. Well, I don't keep anything from her. I tell her everything. I keep her alive for ten years."
Porsha loses 60 pounds during her pregnancy
'I Wasn't Expecting A Baby' star Porsha revealed that she lost 60 pounds during her pregnancy. In April 2013, when she was four months pregnant, she started gaining weight, initially attributed to pastries she brought back from work, according to her mom and aunt. However, Porsha then prioritized the gym, sharing, "The gym was just a fun time and I made it fun, at least." By September 2013, she had shed 60 pounds. She added, "I also did WeightWatchers which helped a lot with 60 pounds which really worked and my periods were abnormal but nothing concerning."
Porsha's aunt Christine remarked, "Porsha looked in the best health she has ever been. She was really working on her weight. I thought she was really confident." Porsha claimed, "I never had any symptoms. But I was losing weight, so I didn't think anything of it." However, the Lifetime show teased that "Prenatal weight loss may be caused by lower fluids and increased activity."
