LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Watching a series based on true events that are presented in a compelling way is always a treat. Netflix's upcoming film 'The Exchange' fits perfectly in this 'true drama' category. The Arabian 'original series' by Netflix is set in a stock exchange. Set in the 1980s, this series is said to have been based on true events that Netflix adapted to make a truly gripping storyline that is sure to hook viewers.

Created by Nadia Ahmed, this original series was announced as a part of Netflix's line-up of Arabic content for primarily the MENA region. ‘The Exchange’ is produced by Abdullah Boushahri and directed by Jasem AlMuhanna and Karim El Shenawy. This series is said to have a total of 6 episodes in the first season of the series. The workplace drama series set in the Kuwait Stock Exchange follows two ambitious women who try to make their way in a corrupted industry that is a boys' club with many attempting to thwart the female protagonists at every turn.

According to Netflix, the logline of 'The Exchange' reads "If you make no enemies while trading during the peak of Kuwait’s stock exchange, then you’ve had no fun — just ask the only women in the pit. Hair permed, shoulders padded, ever-competitive mathlete cousins Farida and Munira are here to bring a new order to Kuwait’s chaotic stock exchange."

Who is acting in Netflix's 'The Exchange'?

Rawan Mahdi, Mona Hussain and Mohammed Almansour are the primary stars of this period drama series. Rawan Mahdi plays Farida, a recent divorcee, seeking a job to provide for her daughter. She hasn't worked for 13 years and she has been a devoted housewife all those years. There is also Mona Hussain, who plays Munira, an independent, sassy clerk for the Bank of Tomorrow and Farida's cousin. The cast of this series also includes Jasem Al-Nabhan, Faisal AlAmeri, Asmahan Tawfiq, Hussain Al-Mahdi, Maryam Salih and Abdullah Bahman.
