'NCIS: Los Angeles' Season 12 Episode 6 'If Fate Allows' will attempt to answer one very important question and that is if we will see Deek get his job back. In Episode 5, Deeks had been fired and many fans were outraged that he had to go through this. So will he get his job back? According to the synopsis provided by the CBS network for the episode, "Deeks is struggling with losing his job at NCIS." The question also remains if this firing Deeks move could be a permanent one. In the promo, Deeks and Kensi deal with the jobless right before their D-Day -- to move in together. In fact, one of the scenes sees Kensi and Deeks look at the apartment that they had loved just a few episodes ago with doubt.

This question arises as the majority of the upcoming episode is expected to center on Callen (Chris O’Donnell) who gets a case handed over by Hetty. While the synopsis doesn't give out too many details, it was revealed that "Before Christmas, Hetty assigns Callen the case of his former foster brother and his wife, who, upon reentry into the US, are framed for smuggling drugs across the border." It is believed that the wife had hidden contraband in oxygen tanks to smuggle. How will Callen react to having to investigate a case that involves not his sibling at the moment, but a former foster care brother? A brother who seems to have cut off from Callen for a while now.

How will this struggle play out with Deek's firing still a sore wound within the team? Then there is the promo of the episode that sees a special gift arrive for Kensi. After he had attempted to keep Kensi safe from a psychopath that she had locked up years ago, and someone who had continued to obsess over her; Eric had to leave NCIS: LA, after which he had gone off to create some tech, but he is now back in time for Christmas. Speaking about his return, actor Daniela Ruah who plays Kensi said to TV Insider, "Mr. Eric Beale, last season, he was up in San Francisco developing some technology [and] all of that went bust, but the technology he developed did not. So he's now a multi-million-dollar major tech developer, our little ol' Eric Beale, and shows up with a mustache! We're just like, 'Who is this guy who's been transformed?' He'll be present but working on his own stuff."

'NCIS: LA' Season 12 Episode 6 airs on Sunday at 9.30 pm ET on CBS.
