Hailee Steinfeld returns to the animated Spider-Verse following 2018’s hit ‘Into the Spider-Verse’. The actress has voiced-over in the movie as Gwen Stacy and it “has been so exciting”, she told People. She continues, “Being a part of something that resonates with people of all ages, more specifically young people, is always so exciting to me. It inspires me knowing that it's resonating with them and inspiring them to be the best version of themselves”.
Steinfeld adds, "I think back on when I was younger if there were films or pieces that I wish I had, I feel like this would definitely be one of them. So it's such a beautiful piece, beyond its messaging and its heart. It's just so visually stunning that it just transports you into another dimension”.
The sequel centers around Miles and Gwen as she invites him on a new adventure where "Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence”, according to the official synopsis.
Michael Urie's queer role in Apple TV+ 'Shrinking'
Apple TV+ comedy series ‘Shrinking’ is the most charming and life-affirming show. The creators of the series, Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein, both from ‘Ted Lasso’ has put in great talent in this show with the delightful Michael Urie. He portrays as a gay attorney and best friend to Sean in the series. Michael Urie has played many gay guys and his work in various projects can be seen through the breadth of his characters. And having his name in mostly LGBTQ-targeted projects, he’s now confronting a whole lot new audience. He adds I’m recognized by totally different people than I used to be -- a lot of straight people, a lot of men. When I look back and I see that I’m in this show that’s almost all straight people, and I’m the queer element..there’s a part of me that feels like I’ve bridged this gap of visibility, and I’ve been allowed to grow up in it”.
