When will 'Call Me Kat' Episode 2 air on Fox? Here's why it may feature a double date for Mayim Bialik's Kat
There is a new cat lady in town and we're loving every bit of her in Fox's latest sitcom 'Call Me Kat'. 'The Big Bang Theory' star Mayim Bialik plays the titular role of Kat, a single 39-year-old who spends all her life savings to open a cat cafe. And the premiere episode has left us in splits — impressed and wanting more. Most importantly, we must know what is going to happen next with Kat and her old crush Max ('30 Rock' alum Cheyenne Jackson).
So when will Episode 2 titled 'Double Date' air? Bialik's latest comedy sees her play the role of a woman who struggles to prove to her mother and society that she can live a happy life despite being single at 39. Although it might not all work out according to her plans, when Max returns to town, her plans of celebrating her independence begin to veer off-course.
Based on the BBC UK original series 'Miranda' created by Miranda Hart, 'Call Me Kat' is a heartfelt comedy that promises to keep you thoroughly entertained. The half-hour comedy also stars Julian Gant and Leslie Jordan in supporting roles as Kat's friends Carter and Phil respectively.
In the second episode, Kat finds herself in a dilemma that we suspect she might have had to deal with before. Her mother Sheila (Swoosie Kurtz) has always been against Kat's singledom and like any mother, wants to see her daughter get hitched. So in Episode 2 of 'Call Me Kat', she sets her daughter up on a blind date. Little does Kat know that the surprises aren't stopping at that.
According to the official synopsis, it also happens to be "the same night that Max asks her to be his karaoke partner at The Middle C". The episode will also see guest star Lamorne Morris play the role of a customer Daniel who apparently never tips. And Kat's Cat Café employee Randi (Kyla Pratt) will get on his case.
Episode 2 of 'Call Me Kat' titled 'Double Date' will air on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at 9 PM ET/ PT on FOX.
