'American Gods' Season 3 Episode 2 titled 'Serious Moonlight' will be available to stream on Starz App for those who have subscribed to the same On-Demand, almost a day earlier than the audiences who will be tuning in to the third season on Sunday night.

The network has already revealed the official synopsis of the second episode and it reads: "Shadow explores his oddly welcoming new town before heading to Chicago for a gathering of the Old Gods on Koliada, an ancient Slavic festival. At the Koliada, Wednesday reconnects with his oldest friend, and Salim mourns the unexpected end of his relationship with The Jinn. Shadow returns to Lakeside to find the town rocked by the disappearance of a teenage girl — and discover that he himself is a suspect."

The episode is written by Moise Verneau and directed by Julian Holmes. In Episode 1 we saw how Shadow and Wednesday had reunited but unlike the first time, Shadow is aware of the truth about Wednesday and tries to sidestep his manipulative ways. Of course, he doesn't succeed and instead ends up going where Wednesday had wanted him to be in the first place — Lakeside. He was the one who had given Shadow a false ID when he was on the run from the police and had assumed that Shadow would follow the breadcrumbs to Lakeside.

Of course, Shadow had other plans. So Wednesday uses his skills to make it impossible for Shadow to continue living in the shadow as he currently is. We saw Shadow arrive in Lakeside but in the next episode, he will leave Lakeside momentarily to meet with the Old Gods and that is when a kidnapping that occurs in Lakeside, otherwise a welcoming town, ends up becoming a problem for him. Turns out, the cop who had been quite friendly may have something to do with this.

The meeting that Shadow attends in Koliada after being invited will also reveal a part of the answer to the question that Shadow has had for a while now. "Who is he?" As the son of god Odin, would he also be a God? And if yes, God of what? He had asked Wednesday this, but he did not really hear anything concrete. So this meeting may answer who he is and what he may be capable of.

In the meantime, we will see Salim mourn the end of his relationship with Jinn (Mousa Kraish). The two had a tumultuous relationship throughout the first season and the second as Salim's faith was in conflict with who he was — a man who is in love with another man who also happens to be a God. An Old God at that. Fans were heartbroken when Kraish had announced that he was done with the show. This episode will see Salim bid adieu to a relationship that helped him accept who he was while he had continued to stand steadfast by his faith. After he is done mourning, we will see Salim explore life in the absence of Jinn.

'American Gods' Season 3 episodes will premiere at 12 am every Sunday on the Starz App and will then be broadcast on Starz channel at 8 pm ET.
