Don't worry we got you! CBS’s 'NCIS: Hawai’i' starts off its second season with a special 'NCIS' crossover event. Season two episode one, “Prisoners’ Dilemma,” will feature 'NCIS‘ Wilmer Valderrama, Gary Cole, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, and Katrina Law, and is set to air on Monday, September 19, 2022, following the season 20 premiere of 'NCIS'. The official synopsis of the premiere episode of the series' season 2 titled, 'Prisoners' Dilemma', reads, "Tennant's team, along with NCIS agents Nick Torres and Jessica Knight, tracks The Raven's whereabouts on the island of Oahu and learns about his plans to attack the world's largest international maritime warfare exercise."
On January 3, 2022, it was announced that a crossover with the nineteenth season of parent series 'NCIS' would be taking place on March 28, 2022. Showrunners of both series had previously mentioned crossing over and CBS Entertainment President Kelly Kahl had stated that discussion about a crossover would start after 'NCIS: Hawaiʻi' finished its first batch of episodes.
According to Variety, Caroline Framke gave the premiere a positive review and wrote: "The show still feels of a piece with 'NCIS' proper, military jargon, efficient dialogue, flashy mysteries and all. If you're already a fan, it's worth giving a shot. If not, there are plenty of other shows in the sea."
