The 'When I was the Most Beautiful' Episode 6 promo shows how Ye-ji lives in the absence of her husband Jin. After the accident, in the previous episode, we saw both Ye-ji and Hwan rush somewhere and this is right after a scene that shows Jin struggling to navigate the roads while racing on an all-new terrain in the US. However, it is unclear if he disappeared or died, because we see Ye-ji, after years of this incident try to live with just her memories of her husband in his absence.

She gets chewed out by her mother-in-law for killing her son because it was Ye-ji who had allowed Jin to race again. However, she had asked him to promise that he would return safely. From what we see in the promo, it seems that Ye-ji believes that her husband will return. From the looks of it, her husband Jin's body was never recovered after the accident, so she continues to wait for him. Meanwhile, she has become a promising ceramic artist, following in the footsteps of her father-in-law while Hwan completed his education abroad.

He returns after all these years to see his sister-in-law, his first love, suffer at the hands of his mother because she blames Ye-ji for her son's death. Jin and Hwan's father tries to convince his wife, whom he has separated from, that their son is not alive and that he is never returning but she is not convinced. In this alone, it seems that both mother-in-law and daughter-in-law believe in Jin's safe return. However, Hwan is not ready to accept that Ye-ji plans on living her life alone as she continues to wait for someone who will not return.

In fact, we see Hwan try to convince Ye-ji to let go of his brother because he is dead, however, she is not ready to. In fact, she lashes out at him and asks him if he thinks that now that his brother is not around if he believes that she will return to him. She quite harshly puts Hwan in his place by rejecting him yet again when she says that even if she did move on from her husband Jin, she will not take his hand.

Is this what Hwan wants? Also, is Jin really dead or are we looking at a reappearance from him soon? 'When I Was Most Beautiful' Episode 6 will show how Hwan has grown up to be a man now, a man who can take on the world for Ye-ji at last. After all, hadn't Jin told Hwan that Ye-ji is a woman who needs an adult to support her in life and not a young boy who doesn't know the world or the harsh reality of what it means to live as the daughter of a murderer. So the upcoming episode will show how Ye-ji and Hwan navigate their lives in the absence of Jin.

'When I was Most Beautiful' will air on MBC on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9.30 pm KST. It will be available on Viu outside South Korea.
