LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Asian movies and shows from thrillers and rom-com dramas to young adult fantasies, steadily penetrated the global visual entertainment space and have since challenged western domination at every step. So when Netflix announced its upcoming show 'Copycat Killer', fans of Asian drama couldn't sit back from all the excitement. Although slightly altered, the story of 'Copycat Killer' is adapted from a well-known crime thriller novel by Japanese author Miyuki Miyabe.

'Copycat Killer' is a Taiwanese serial killer drama set in 1990s Taipei that dictates the story of the first-ever serial murder case in Taiwan. Chasing the killer is an austere prosecutor played by the coveted actor WuKang-ren, which turns into a game of cat and mouse as the killer takes advantage of the widespread coverage making a mockery of law and justice in the process. A no-nonsense prosecutor vows to solve the case only to realize that things are not what they seem. Meanwhile, the killer repeatedly makes a mockery of law and justice as he seeks to destroy peace and order in society."

Playing the stern prosecutor is Wu Kang-ren. In addition, we will see Alice Kio, Tui Tsung-hua, Yao Chun-yao, Fandy Fan, Cammi Chiang, and Hsia Teng-Hung. Ruby Lin, who is also the producer, has a guest appearance in the show.
