LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Grey's Anatomy' is back with it 19th season and the remaining episodes. Speaking of episodes, the episode which will surely make all fans grab their tissue box is just around the corner. Fun fact, the seventh episode, 'I'll Follow the Sun' has the same name as one of the Beatle's song. Regardless, there is no doubt that Ellen Pompeo's Meredith Grey has been the backbone of the series since 2005. The original cast consisted of nine star-billed actors: Pompeo, Sandra Oh, Katherine Heigl, Justin Chambers, T. R. Knight, Chandra Wilson, James Pickens Jr., Isaiah Washington, and Patrick Dempsey.
It is an end of an era and as Mer is leaving too it concludes that none of the original five interns of Chadra Wilson's Miranda Bailey's from the first season will be in the series anymore. Overall, 'Grey's Anatomy' has been well received by critics throughout much of its run and has been included in various critics' year-end top 10 lists. Furthermore, this will be the first season to feature Alexis Floyd, Harry Shum Jr., Adelaide Kane, Midori Francis, and Niko Terho as series regulars.

As we know Pompeo is quitting as a full time character on the show, but she will continue to deliver Meredith’s voiceover narration to 'Grey’s Anatomy' and retain her position as an executive producer. Furthermore, Pompeo also stated that she would only be appearing in a limited number of episodes (eight) ahead of Season 19’s premiere. She’s already said she’ll be back for the finale in May.

'I'll Follow the Sun' is going to be the seventh episode and mid-season premiere of the nineteenth season and the 407th overall episode of 'Grey's Anatomy'. The official synopsis of the episode reads, "On Meredith's last day at Grey Sloan, the doctors plan a goodbye surprise and Nick confronts her about the future of their relationship. The interns compete to scrub in on a groundbreaking procedure. And Richard asks Teddy an important question."
